A few of these are looks we’ve previously seen on social media and the newswire, including the “Valentine’s Day” Yes 3, “Chinese New Year” Yes 3, a “Statue of Liberty”-esque teal and red edition, and the mismatched “Murray State” Yes 3. Considering Morant himself has expressed dismay at counterfeit products circulating on social media, getting the official stamp on these colorways is undoubtedly a relief, but it also leaves three editions depicted here as being serious about it. “First looks.”
Looking clockwise, we see some Snow Beach inspiration in yellow/navy, transferring those darker tones in a fade-out gradient across the upper and adding earthquake-like graphics to a ruby red Swoosh. Next up is perhaps the most radical design on display here: a tropical edition that eschews the chunky body we’ve seen on most pairs for a horizontally oriented ombré treatment that continues in bold shades of pink, blue, and orange, culminating in an identically shaded sole. Adding to the “Inverse” atmosphere is the fact that the “claw marks” remain entirely one-note. Finally, this preview concludes with what appears to be a modern Grizzlies edition, dominated by navy blue before giving way to teal in the sole and done in yellow detailing consistent with Memphis’ recent on-court attire.
Photos of each of these shoes are scarce (outside of our previously linked coverage), so in the meantime, check out some side profile images of each below.
