It’s not even a training camp, but Timberwolves Draft Pick is already on thin ice cream

We are getting closer to the next NBA season, and the Minnesota Timberwolves still have one of the deepest gratings in the association. Although that is great news for the Wolves Fanbase, it is less favorable for players who look like they can be completely buried by the depth of the team such as Leonard Miller.

So far it was an interesting career for Miller. Although he is not missing at the top, he simply was unable to collect the kind of chance of hardwood to prove his value. Moreover, he has not always blown us away with the opportunities he has had.

From the moment Leonard was set up, he was at the end of a very stacked bank. It would always be logical for him to get repetitions in the G -competition with the Iowa Wolves and to get worked later in the rotation of the NBA club. However, we still have to see that that end result is indicated.

Leonard Miller’s idea has always been a very good one. He has the physical tools and skills to be a valuable rotation player in the competition. And he is now also in a place where he has clearly proven that he is too good to be a career GEAGUE player. He absolutely belongs in the NBA, but in what role I am not sure.

Leonard Miller may not have many opportunities this season

The problem here, however, is that it is just increasingly difficult to see him the kind of court days in Minnesota that he deserves unless something changes. It is quite clear that Jaylen Clark and Terrence Shannon Jr. At least in a few minutes this coming season will stay for him. Probably also Rob Dillingham.

Miller was now prepared two seasons ago and is eligible for an extension. He is under contract for the 2025-26 season, but the Timberwolves have a club option for his deal in the following season.

I think that the coming training camp of the team might be a big turning point for Leonard’s career. If he really comes in and shows, it is reasonable to think that this can bring sufficient confidence in the coaching staff to give him some opportunities in the early season, while Chris Finch starts to think of his rotations.

But if Miller has not shown much improvement until the end of the training camp and the preseason, I don’t think it is so strange to think that the wolves can choose to go in a different direction. If they decide that they want to fill in that last schedule with a more established veteran on a minimum deal, it might not be logical to keep number 33 around.
