The quarterfinals have been set for that week European championships in Oberpullendorf Austria, an ITF J300 tournament Who again moved this year from his traditional place in July on the schedule to September.

The Billie Jean King Cup This week is underway in China, making it difficult to follow for those of us in the eastern time zone, but the women of the United States went to the semi-final for the first time since 2021, with a 2-1 win over Kazakhstan. Emma Navarro saved match points in her victory over Yulia Putintseva, Jessica Pegula lost in Singles to Elena Rybakina, with Pegula and Taylor Townsend who supplied the clinching point with double extraction on Putseva and Rybakina.

Stanford Senior Samir Banerjee, who participates in only his fourth career -seconder, is one of the two qualifications that will continue to the quarterfinals. Zinc reached his second challenger quarterfinals with a 6-4, 7-6 (6) victory over Abdullah Shelbayh (Florida) from Jordan.

Qualification Daniel Masur van Germany defeated No. 6 Seed andres Martin (Georgia Tech) 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 and plays the University of Virginia second-year Rafael Jodar van Spain, who defeated Alex Rybakov (TCU) 6-3, 6-4.

The only two seeds that stay behind each other, with Martin Damm[7] Play James Trotter[3](Ohio State) of Japan.

Eriksson defeated Braswell 6-7 (3), 6-3, 7-6 (2) in three hours and 31 minutes.

Qualification Alex Kotzen (Columbia, Tennessee) and no. 3 Seed Keegan Smith (UCLA) are the other two Americans in the quarterfinals.
