“The net interest margin (NIM) for the quarter improved by more than 8% year-on-year,
supported by value-enhancing payouts in diversified segments and disciplined accountability
management,” the company said.
Commenting on the lower year-on-year subdued quarterly revenues, the IRFC said this was largely due to a one-year extension of a moratorium granted by the Ministry of Railways for a project lease agreement, which impacted revenue recognition during the period.
“By the end of the third quarter, the sanctions target of Rs 60,000 crore had already been achieved,” said Manoj Kumar Dubey, chairman and managing director of the IRFC.
IRFC’s assets under management (AUM) rose to Rs 4.75 lakh crore as on December 31, 2025 – the highest in the company’s history, the company added. The company’s shares closed 1.27% lower at Rs 120.65 per scrip during trading on Monday.
BHEL reports a net profit of Rs 390.40 crore for the third quarter
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited has reported a nearly three-fold increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 390.40 crore for the third quarter of fiscal 2025-26. Total income during the reporting months stood at Rs 8,691.85 crore, compared to Rs 7,385 crore in the same months a year ago. Consolidated total expenses stood at Rs 8,188.26 crore, compared to Rs 7,224.51 crore in the quarter ended December 2024.The company also said it is scrapping a plan to set up a Center of Excellence (COE) for propulsion systems in Karkhiyaon, Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh). The plan to establish the COE was announced in January 2024.
“The products originally planned for the new factory in Karkhiyaon, Varanasi, are now being planned for other BHEL locations,” a company statement said.
Commenting on the impact of the new labor laws coming into force on November 21, 2025, the company auditors said the company has created a provision for gratuity in respect of permanent employees, in accordance with the guidelines of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
Shares of BHEL closed 0.94% lower at Rs 263.05 per scrip during trading on Monday.
