Airlines established in India have suspended all flight operations to the Middle East and further after the military strikes of Iran on American bases in the Golf region.

On Tuesday, the international long -distance carrier Air India has suspended all international activities in a westerly direction.

Accordingly, the airline suspends flying operations to the middle -east, the east coast of North America and Europe.

“In the midst of the development situation in the middle, Air India has stopped all operations to the region, as well as to and from the east coast of North America and Europe with immediate effect, to the nearby,” said a airline spokesperson after midnight on Tuesday.

As a result of the suspension, the Air India spokesperson said that the India-related flights from the airline will be returned from North America to their respective origin, while other flights will be diverted to India or are diverted from the closed air spaces.

“Air India is in continuous consultation with its external security advisers and keeps the evolving situation vigilant,” said the spokesperson.

The movement follows Iran’s military strikes on American bases in the region.

In particular, the newest flare -up has led to the suspension of access to airspace over different countries.

About midnight on Tuesday, airlines were busy distracting jets or calling back flights to the middle -east.

A spokesperson for Air India Express said that the Kochi from the airline to Doha flight was diverted to Muscat, while the flight from Kannur to Doha returned.

“We have no other flights on our way to Qatar. Air India Express has no plane on the floor in Qatar,” said an Air India Express spokesperson.

“We keep a close eye on the situation and take all the necessary precautions for the safety and security of our guests and crew, with input from the relevant authorities.”

In addition, airline Major Indigo said that flight arrivals and departure from Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Ras Al-Khaimah and Tbilisi have been affected.

“We actively follow the situation and adjust our activities to guarantee the highest level of safety for our customers and crew,” Indigo said in a travel advice.

According to a Akasa Air spokesperson, flights to Doha, Kuwait and Abu Dhabi have been canceled before 23 and 24 June 2025.
