International Handwork Exhibition MIDA returns to Florence’s ForteZya da Basso for edition number 89 of April 25 to May 1, 2025.
Promoted and organized by Florence FairIn collaboration with leading institutions and trade associations, MIDA is the first certified exhibition of “Knowhow” in Italy with “Made in Italy” heritage and identity worldwide. For 89 years this event has been showing the development of crafts as part of the national and international socio-cultural material from fascism to the post-war period to the present.
Founded in 1931, this successful event continues to combine votes, cultures, generations and a variety of various traditions. Mida has an endless variety of artifacts, side events and live experience workshops with a nod to technological innovation and ethical and sustainable processes.

“These last 89 years have seen the development of industrial culture and the transition to a digital age,” explains Lorenzo BecattiniPresident of Firenze Fiera. “In this context, craftsmen have always played a key role in passing the identity values during this complex social evolution, the ability to adjust and embrace change by trusting on -creativity, passion and relationships. That is where we have to start again if we want to build our future. Con • Te • NE • RE from objects to bodies. Scale variations in crafts and design has an exhibition promoted by fondazione cr Firenze and made by Oma, Associazione Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte in collaboration with ADI (Associazione per il Disegno Industrial Design Association, Tuscan Delegation) and Sponsorde.
