Inter Milan will travel to Hellas Verona in Serie A next Sunday as they look to close the gap with the teams at the top of the table.
Both teams want to win for different reasons. Christian Chivu’s side are third in the standings and looking to challenge for the Scudetto, while Hellas are third from bottom and in danger of falling.
After a 3-1 defeat to Napoli, Inter responded strongly by beating Fiorentina 3-0 at the San Siro on Wednesday evening.
Currently, the Nerazzurri occupy third place in the Serie A standings with 18 points from nine games, and are three points behind joint leaders Napoli and Roma. They have won five of their last six league matches, with their only recent defeat coming at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in October.

Marcus Thuram has completed his recovery and resumed full training, making him available for selection after being sidelined for a month due to a hamstring injury suffered during Inter’s 3-0 win over Slavia Prague in the UEFA Champions League at the end of September. The forward is expected to start on the bench as he works his way into action.
Meanwhile, midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan and defender Matteo Darmian remain out, but Inter have reported no further injury concerns. Carlos Augusto could replace Federico Dimarco at the left full-back position if the manager chooses to rotate the squad.
