India: All-Round Effort Powerers India to 4-2 victory against Korea in their first Super4S match on Women’s Asia Cup 2025

New Delhi, September 10, 2025: The Indian Women’s Hockey team started their Super4S campaign in the Women’s Asia Cup 2025 in style and registered a solid 4-2 victory against Korea in Hangzhou on Wednesday. Goals of Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke, Sangita Kumari, Lalremsiami and Rutuja Dadaso Pisal gave India to an impressive victory, while the side combined attacking flair with disciplined defense to start the crucial phase of the tournament on a winning nut. Yujin Kim yielded a brace for Korea.

India made a dream start and won a penalty corner within the first two minutes of the game. Injector Vaishnavi Vitthal Phalke (2 ‘) jumped out of the set piece on a rebound after Udita’s stitching was blocked by the Korean keeper Seoyon Lee, who put the ball home in India the early advantage. With the aim of bouncing back in the game, Korea started the third quarter on aggressive note, but India Counter-Counter, which made them scored their second goal of the match, while Rutuja Dadaso Pisal dripped past three defenders in the D-area and brought a pass to Sangita Kumari without much difficulty made the goal pointed without much pointing pointed pointed point. Her strike ensured that India ended an impressive 4-2 victory in their first Super4S-Pool meeting.

India will then play against hosts China on 11 September in their second game of the Super4Spool.
