Here is a look at some of the more striking names that have to be activated today from the injured list …
- The Goses Third Honkman activated Matt Chapman Of the wounded list today after only spent a week on the shelf because of inflammation in his right hand. Versatile Infielder Tyler Fitzgerald It was chosen to make Triple-A to make room for Chapman on the active schedule. This year, Chapman was published in just 96 games for San Francisco after missing time because of a sprained right hand in June. He missed almost a month because of that injury, and after he was activated at the beginning of July, he only hit .200/.290/.365 over 31 games before he returned to the IL because of his ailing hand. Chapman received a Cortisone shot during this last stint on the shelf, and both he and the Giants for sure that he can hit more and his first half himself (.243/.360/.452 in 65 games) in the future. As far as Fitzgerald is concerned, he only got .217/.278/.327 (73 WRC+) in 72 games this year, especially thanks to the disappearance of strength compared to his 15 gay people in 341 record performances last year.
- Elsewhere in the NL West, the Dodgers Activated veteran -help arm Kirby Yates Of the injured list today. He takes the schedule of Southpaw Blake Snellwho is on the way to the paternity list. Yates was suspended on 1 August due to low back pain and has not appeared in a competition since 26 July. He was placed on the shelf after a difficult month of July, where he gives an ERA of 6.00 and 5.95 FIP over eight performances, but the Dodgers certainly hope that his month -long resignation helped to get healthy for the last weeks of the season. Yates was perhaps the best reliever in baseball with the Rangers last year when he placed a 1.17 ERA with a 2.50 FIP and pick up 33 saves in 61 performances. This year his ERA was bleached to 4.31, but a strikeout percentage of 32.8% still offers a reason for optimism that he can turn things around now that he is healthy. Yates joins a Dodgers bullpen that is currently trusting Blake trains And Ben Casparis In the late innings of the right side.
