The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says it has launched an attack on the entrance of the Syrian military headquarters in the capital of Damascus.
Syrian state media have reported loud explosions in the city.
It is the third day in a row that Israel has launched strikes on the Syrian government forces, with strikes in recent days aimed at forces that are on their way to the southern city of Sweida.
Sectarian violence broke out there between local Bedouin Clans and the militia of the Druzen community.
The Israeli government says it protects the local Druzen population -a religious minority who lives in southern Syria, with ties with the Druzen community in Israel.
The new Syrian regime, led by former militant leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, had condemned Israel’s behavior and described it as a calculated attempt to feed chaos in Syria.
The army of Israel has operated in Syria since the fall of dictator Bashar al-Assad at the end of last year, with troops and tanks crossing the border of the Golan Heights in southern Syria by Rebellen by Israeli Golan Heights.
In recent weeks there had been speculation that President Al-Sharaa could conclude a kind of peace agreement with the Israeli government, so that the ties between the two countries are normalized.
The Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously shown in his corruption process in a Tel Aviv -court building in a Count Aviv courtyard, but left the position while the situation developed.
The IDF announced that it would “strengthen his troops” along the border with Syria, through the occupied Golan Heights.
“The IDF will continue to operate, both in defense and in an attack, to guarantee the safety of Israeli citizens,” the IDF said in a statement.
Along the so-called “screaming gate” in the Druze Town Majdal Shams, in the north of the Golan Heights, crowds had gathered along the Israeli border that waved the Druze flag.
Live scenes from the area showed people who tried to push the razor blade with thread, and some succeed in putting in the Syrian buffer zone on the other side.
By doing this, it seemed that the Israeli Druze was trying to force Israel to intervene in the Syrian conflict.
Israel grabbed the territory from Syria during the six -day war in 1967 and annexed it in 1981.
Much of the international community does not recognize the claim of Israel on land, whereby countries such as Australia notice the occupation of Israel and effective control over the area.
The United States acknowledges the sovereignty of Israel there, in a movement announced by US President Donald Trump during his first term of office.
