White House Pers Secretary Karoline Leavitt spoke to the incident on Friday in Portland, Oregon, where the Republican journalist Nick Sortor was flooded and attacked by Antifa Thugs, then arrested by the police of Portland.
The Gateway Pundit reported on the incident, which is now being investigated by the Ministry of Justice.

On Friday, Leavitt announced to reporters that not only the police from Portland will come to the Doj’s Crosshairs, but President Trump is now taking steps to reduce federal help to the city, referring to lawlessness in the streets.
“Since June alone,” she said, “Radical left-wing delusions have violently broken the ice facility by using a stopboard such as a storm ram, explosives and other projectiles hurled in law enforcement, repeated attacks and dox officers, their authority-abiding neighbors have rolled out for the facility of the ice.”
In addition to reducing financing, “there will also be an extra wave of federal resources to Portland, including improved BP and ICE resources. The law and order will have the upper hand, and President Trump will take care of it,” Leavitt said.

Antifa terrorists have besieged the ice agency in South Portland since the beginning of June alone. These radical left -wing wing unaccabes have violently broken the ice facility by using a stopboard as a ram of the RAM, explosives and other projectiles flung in law enforcement, repeated attacks and dox officers, rolling out their feasible neighbors and even a guillotine for ice facility. And more people should report on that. President Trump has sent federal law enforcement to protect the federal assets and arrest those who feed this violence.
Last night we saw an extremely disturbing incident, in which conservative journalist Nick Seter was recorded on video that was taken into custody by the Portland police after he was ambushed by Antifa and defended himself against these attacks. But instead of arresting these violent mob -members, night after night after night, who destroys this community, the police arrested a journalist who tried to document the chaos there, and everyone in this room should be very concerned about it.
The Ministry of Justice spoke with that journalist this morning and they will start a full investigation into his arrest. This incident is part of a disturbing trend in Portland, where left -wing mobs believe that they can decide who can visit and live in their city. It is not their city, it is the American national city and President Trump will restore that. I just talked about this with the president and he set up his team here at the White House to assess help that could possibly be cut in Portland. We will not finance states that allow anarchy. There will also be an extra wave of federal means to Portland, including improved BP and ICE sources. Law and Order will prevail, and President Trump will take care of it.
After that, Leavitt confirmed only the news of the White House correspondent Amanda Head that the Trump government will also work to ensure that the local police are no longer impeded by leadership and prevented action against Antifa.
“The local police are limited to respond or to cooperate with federal authorities,” Leavitt said that she was told by the Department of Homeland Security Task Force that supervises the activities in Portland.
“We think it is despicable for these local chosen officials to renounce an oath to protect their people from doing law enforcement on the ground. So that is why the President has led his team here in the White House, and they are already looking forward to see how we can cut money.”

We have increased federal law enforcement staff to this city to restore the law and order and to collaborate with local law enforcement, and we have seen the benefits of this in Washington, DC. And you all live here, so you can agree that Washington, DC is much safer and feels because of the collaboration between federal and local law enforcement. They can and must work together. And we think it is despicable that these local chosen officials swear to protect their people prevent law enforcement from doing their work on the site. So that is why the President has focused his team here in the White House, and they are already there to see how we can cut money. And the president wants to work with someone. If the mayor of Portland would now call him and say, “Mr. President, please help us.” I am sure that the president would be willing to do that. He is really serious about wanting to restore order in the American cities, but it has become clear that the local and chosen officers in Oregon do not feel the same, and that is very unfortunate for the people who live there.
