Ice hockey: Sweden confirms 25 players on men’s ice hockey roster for Milano Cortina 2026

Three Sochi 2014 silver medalists are among the winners Swedenis 25 men ice hockey selection nominated for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, where the return will take place National Hockey League (NHL) players to the Olympic tournament.

That includes Gabriel Landeskogwho was named as one of Sweden’s first six players on their provisional roster in June. He is accompanied by blueliners Oliver Ekman-Larsson And Erik Karlsson. Sweden has competed in men’s hockey at the Olympic Games 23 times, with Milano Cortina 2026 being the team’s 24th appearance. Sweden made their debut at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp and won gold twice: in Lillehammer 1994 and Turin 2006. They have also won three silvers and four bronzes.

As the National Olympic Committees have the exclusive authority for the representation of their respective countries at the Winter Olympic Games, athletes’ participation in Milano Cortina 2026 depends on the choice of their NOC to represent their delegation at the Games.
