What normally is a fantastic week of Pro-Am Golf in the house of Golf has been destroyed by the consequences of Hurricane Amy. The sweet, by the famous loaded Dunhill on the left Championship in St. Andrews has been reduced to only 54 holes because the third round of Saturday was postponed.
The last round of Sunday was thus canceled because the majority of the UK and Noord -Europe fight against Storm Amy – the remains of Hurricanes Humberto and Imelda, who managed to merge over the Atlantic Ocean.
What that means for the Golf is that Scotland’s own, Bob Macintyre, wants to add to his Homeland Trophy business. Macintyre caught a lot of the worst wind on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and turned a second straight 66 to be at the age of 12 and to be fixed for the leadership. Macintyre said the weather was usually as bad as he has played lately. He and the field were in place and ready to go with as many layers as needed, but strong wind prevented the track to be playable.
Photographers had a field day that recorded players who captured coverage behind tournament signals, and Macintyre with the help of a huge, white hand-warmer bag with electric heating. Metal screens around the driving range were tipped by strong wind, which were the most important delay in the game on Saturday.

The Dunhill Links is a pro-AM with Bill Murray, Andy Murray-no relationship, the best we can tell Piers Morgan, Catherine Zeta-Jones and many others. Groups play a round on the old course of St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, who always play the last round of the championship on the old track. With the final round now canceled, teams will still play the remaining course on their journey – it may not be the old course, which was covered with water when it flashed over the broadcast.
Macintyre’s best competition At the moment is Richard Sterne, who is also at the age of 12. Sterne was able to avoid part of the worst weather in his draw, but will now play on most of the same circumstances as Macintyre on Sunday.
“After all those years of playing here,” Sterne started, “sometimes you get good draws. Sometimes you get bad draws and today I have a good draw. I have quite happy with that.”
The South African will compete against the local fans, certainly, with the name of Macintyre on the rankings. Only four shots back is Brooks Koepka, who has been on a type of euro trip. Koepka played both the Irish Open and the BMW PGA championship in Wentworth, missed the cut in both and did not even succeed in breaking 80 in the second round of the Irish Open. Koepka then ended Solo Third on the French Open and is able to compete in Scotland on Sunday … As long as the weather permits.
The third and final round starts again at 9 o’clock local time, where the weather is currently not rain, but 20+ MPH Wind, with wind gusts around 35 MPH. For the victor go the loot of a trophy, a photo shoot on the Swilcan bridge … and hopefully a hot drink afterwards.
