Hull City boss Sergej Jakirovic has said they could sack Brandon Williams in January, according to BBC Humberside Sport’s Mike White. X.
Hull City handed the full-back one one-year contract in the summer after his trial. However, he has been struggling with HCAFC for minutes.
Williams, 24, has made just one appearance for the Tigers so far this season. He came off the bench for Joe Gelhardt against Blackburn Rovers in late August for the Championship side.
In this latest update on his future at the MKM Stadium, Jakirovic has opened the door to a possible winter departure, via reporter White on X. He is under contract in East Yorkshire until June 2026.
Hull City are in 9th place in the table after their first 18 games. They are one point away from the play-offs behind Bristol City in sixth place.
The Tigers won 2-1 at Stoke City last time. Semi Ajayi scored the equalizer against the Potters at the Bet365 Stadium before Gelhardt struck a late winner.
Jakirovic’s men are back in action on Friday evening with a tough home test against Middlesbrough. Their upcoming opponents sit second in the division behind Coventry City, having beaten Derby County 2-1 in their last outing.
Hull City latest on Brandon Williams
The city of Hull signed Willems to strengthen their defensive department. When fit, he will give HCAFC more competition and depth at the back.
He provides backup for Ryan Giles at left back. He played in the Premier League in the past and was tipped for a bright future at Manchester United as a youngster.
The Mancunian rose through the academy at Old Trafford and has been a regular for the Red Devils at various youth levels. He went on to make 51 appearances for the North West giants, as well as being loaned out to Norwich City and Ipswich Town to gain some experience.

What next for Brandon Williams and Hull City?
Hull City gave Williams a chance after his lengthy absence after leaving Manchester United. However, his move to HCAFC did not work out.
Nevertheless, he will be happy to at least be back in the game. A change of scenery next month would do him some good and give him the chance to get some regular minutes elsewhere.
Parting ways with Williams would be a wise decision by the Tigers. It would help free up space and money in their ranks.
Jakirovic was selected as a replacement for Ruben Selles in June. The ex-Dynamo Zagreb player left Kayserispor to join them.
