Fantasy Football Scout community writer Greyhead analyzes the transfers and strategies of some well-known Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers.

“Maybe you should just press the button”
Game Week 13 was a misfortune for some – well, for those who didn’t play the Free Hit chip – as we had our first big swing weekend. Messrs. Foden and Thiago gave their owners the biggest push.
The Free Hit hype was overwhelming, but there were a few brave souls who took the Triple Captain option and were then forced to roll out the ‘good process, bad outcome’ quote.
In between all this, Fabio Borges and Ben Crellin watched with no chips in the game, our rookie leader Huss E played his Wildcard and FPL General finally got that differential captain’s adrenaline rush.
OVERALL PERFORMANCE
It was green all around with an average rank win of over 500,000 among The Great and The Good, the majority of whom bet chips.
If the noise is to be believed, the Free Hitters dominated this week. However, if you look at the scores above, you will see that only one small edge between the Great and the Good. The Free Hitters had an average of 64, the rest an average of 58.
So not all Free Hits were the same. Tom Dollimore played best with a whopping 81 points and crucially tripled Aston Villa’s defense (thanks Mohammed Salah‘s (£14.1m) benching). He had that too Igor Thiago (£6.7 million) and Phil Voet (£8.1m) and kept the faith Bruno Fernandes (£8.9 million).
Compare this to Mark Sutherns, who scored 49 points. He had less luck with his auto-sub Jarrod Bowen (£7.6m) comes in for Salah. He also gambled on the wrong City midfielders Rayan Cherki (£6.4 million) and Jeremy Doku (£6.6 million), and had misplaced confidence in it Morgan Gibbs White (£7.3m)
WILDCARD
The relatively unknown Huss E, who made himself very well known this season while leading the way, finally played his Wildcard. He stuck to his tactic of tripling the number of teams and going big against Man City and Brentford.
the foot, Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m) and Haaland were the Citizens, while the Bees were represented by Nathan Collins (£4.9m)Kevin Damage (£7.0m) and the increasingly important Igor Thiago.
It may be surprising to see only one Arsenal player, Jurriën Hout (£6.4m), although he did pick the right time to bring in Bruno Fernandes. Will he lead him next week?
TRANSFERS

The transfer of the week goes to FPL General, who sold Antoine Semenyo (£7.8m) for Foden and, as mentioned, promptly brought him on.
Limited activity elsewhere, although the Thiago bandwagon is rumbling.
TEMPLATE
A Free Hit-distorted template this week, although I suspect Thiago and Foden could be popular when we get back to normal.
Dubravka (72.2%), Martínez (33.3%)
O’Reilly (72.2%), van Dijk (50%), Cash (50%), Collins (44.4%), Munoz (33.3%)
Foden (66.7%), Damage (61.1%), Salah (61.1%), Rogers (50%), Fernandes (44.4%)
Haaland (94.4%), Thiago (88.9%), Guiu (61.1%)
SEASON STATISTICS

A quick look at the season stats shows us that Pras and Pingreen are the ones to follow for the captaincy. FPL General continues to suffer from the self-imposed ‘no Haaland’ scores, although at least he made a profit on young Phil this weekend.
We see far fewer hits than in previous seasons, and the abundance of chips and transfers makes them less useful. Tom Freeman and Az have remained the most carefree.
In terms of team value, followers of these articles won’t be surprised to see that Mark Sutherns has amassed the largest bank account of £103.8 million.
CONCLUSION
So there’s little more than 24 hours for the Free Hitters to bask in their collective glory before we get back to it. The party schedule is now starting to heat up and will hopefully cause a bit of chaos for the casuals; I didn’t remind Colin from Accounts that there is a midweek deadline…
There will undoubtedly be more random benchings and rotations, so stock up on those FPL squad stockings, because we might need them if we really want to use chaos as a ladder.
Anyway, that’s all mine for now, and remember, don’t have any FPL nightmares.
