Consolation proved to be a constant factor in the Steekneuzen’s offensive line throughout the calendar year. The Pinoké attacker scored in every possible way. Seventeen of his goals came from penalty corners, eight times he scored from field goals and three times he used a penalty shot.
Remarkably, Troost split his production exactly evenly between home and away games (both 14). He warmed up especially after half-time: no fewer than 20 of his 28 goals were scored in the second half, including 11 in the third quarter and nine in the final quarter.
Little Switzerland became his favorite victim this year: thanks to Troost, the ball was in the Hague net six times. In total, he scored against eleven different teams, underlining his status as the most complete and versatile player in the competition.
