Heritage Golf Group expands Florida portfolio with acquisition

Heritage Golf Group has further strengthened its position as one of America’s fastest growing golf and country club owners and operators with the acquisition of three prestigious private clubs in Florida.

The Plantation Golf & Country Club in Fort Myers, the Country Club of Ocala and the Palencia Club in St. Augustine are all now part of the fast-growing Heritage Golf Group.

The acquisition, which was announced at the end of October 2025, took place in the hands of MG Orender, the managing partner of the three properties.

With the addition of the three clubs, Heritage Golf Group now operates 46 golf clubs nationwide, including 12 inch Florida as the brand continues to expand across key golf and lifestyle markets.

Heritage Golf Group has grown significantly since current leadership took over the company in 2020, expanding into 15 states with a mix of private country clubs, resort properties and per diem venues.

The Plantation Golf & Country Club (Fort Myers)

Features an 18-hole championship course designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry, combined with The Great House clubhouse featuring gourmet restaurants and event spaces.

Ocala Country Club (Ocala)

The 18-hole course, designed by Steve Nugent, features rolling terrain and oak-lined fairways. The club also features seven tennis courts, pickleball facilities, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and an extensive fitness center.

The Palencia Club (St. Augustine)

Home to an Arthur Hills-designed championship course and a 3,000-square-foot clubhouse that offers a mix of casual and upscale dining with panoramic views of the course.
