Newcastle 2 Crystal Palace 0 – Sunday 3 January 2026 3pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans were all dying to see on Sunday night!
Eddie Howe leads his team to such an important victory.
United followed up their 3-1 win away at Burnley to end 2025 in 2025 with a back-to-back win to start 2026 in the best possible way.
Bruno Guimaraes rounded off an excellent personal performance with the all-important opening goal with his head.
Great to see Malick Thiaw add a third Premier League goal to his tally.
Not the easiest game, but Newcastle United were certainly worth the three points at the final whistle.
A winning post-match snapshot.
The most important winning photo = The fourteenth of the season.
Newcastle United’s head coach introduced this tradition of a post-match photo with everyone after every win, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
It’s also a huge bonus how much it excites fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they won the Premier League/Champions League…etc.’
I absolutely love it.
Still at least 23 games to go this season in all competitions, so hopefully there will be quite a few more of these photos to come.
