Last week for questions of the day I was pont -up about the state of car colors; Greyscale still dominates, especially on regular cars in the US, but it feels like the tides may start to run. General Motors has recently experimented with interesting color schemes, especially at Cadillac – the compact optiq EV is available in some bright colors and with a blue interior made of newspapers. Of course there is also the Celestiq, which can be, as you want (as long as you have more than $ 350,000), and Cadillac recently announced that the CT5-V Blackwing will get a new custom-made color program.
Although the escalade is never really known for coming in of interesting colors, Cadillac is wrong with the Escalade IQ and Escalade IQL. In addition to being offered in a number of beautiful but subtle colors such as a dark cherry red and a pearl champagne gold, you can get the electric ladies in not one but two different oranges, including a clear one. Hell yes.
A daring option
The first and more extreme of the two orange paints, shown in the main image of this story, is only available on the sports trims for the Escalade IQ, not the longer IQL. Called Monarch Orange, the burning tint was first seen on the Optiq and it certainly looks the same as the solar sucker that is offered on the Hummer EV. I think it looks great on the Escalade IQ – more large vehicles such as these have to come in bright colors, especially if they have exorbitant designs such as the Caddy.
It only costs $ 625, which is pretty cheap nowadays, and you can combine it with a black roof for another $ 1,100. On the basic sports finish the only interior options become black or pure gray, but on the Premium Sport you can choose between Camelia Tan or Harbor Blue, both of which can be linked to the orange paint.
And a more subtle
Dan, on luxury and premium luxury decorations of both the IQ and IQL, Cadillac Adobe Frost offers a satin finish option of $ 5,925 that is “late and extremely limited availability”, according to the configurator. Some of you can say that this color is not really orange, more a burnt copper or pumpkin brown. But I say that it certainly counts as the Orange – we have to get our victories where we can get them today. It looks pretty nice, I think. The interior options are the same as in the sports finish.
If none of these oranges are for you, the electric escalades are offered in a few other real colors. For $ 625 you can get sandstone, a beautiful light beige or deep space metallic, a dark, subtle green blue. Black Cherry Tintcoat is $ 1,225, and it looks incredible. There is also the Satin Magnus Metal Frost, a gray that is the same and just as limited as Adobe Frost. Unfortunately, Cadillac stopped the Satin Midnight Steel Frost Blue that was offered in the model year 2025. Of course, if you are boring, you can still get an escalade IQ in a normal black, white or gray.
