Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform HBO Max has officially launched in 15 new countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Sri Lanka and Ukraine, expanding its presence in Asia and Europe.
The service, which has been long awaited by local fans of the globally acclaimed HBO shows, is now available to stream in Pakistan via the website and app stores. Viewers will have access to iconic titles from HBO, Max Originals, Warner Bros., DC Universe, Discovery and the Wizarding World; all in one place.
The available titles include world hits such as Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The Penguin and The Pitt. Hollywood blockbusters including Superman, A Minecraft Movie, The Lord of the Rings and The Matrix collections, along with Harry Potter films, are also part of the catalogue.
Reality TV fans can find Discovery’s Deadliest Catch and Gold Rush, while kids can enjoy Tom and Jerry, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball and Looney Tunes. Classic sitcoms like Friends and The Big Bang Theory are expected to hit the platform in January 2026.
The upcoming lineup includes new Max Originals such as IT: Welcome to Derry, premiering on October 27, a prequel series set in Stephen King’s IT universe, from creators Andy and Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs. Several anticipated films, including M3GAN 2.0, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, How To Train Your Dragon and Weapons, are also scheduled for release in the coming months.
