“To be recognized by my fellow actors means a lot to me,” says the legendary actor.
Iconic actor Harrison Ford was recently named the 61st recipient of SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor: the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award for his career and humanitarian achievements.
Ford will be honored The 32nd Annual Actor Award presented by SAG-AFTRA in March.
The award is given annually to an actor who espouses the “finest ideals of the acting profession” and will be recognized along with his other honors, including the Critic’s Choice Career Achievement Award (2024), Golden Globes Cecil B. DeMille Award (2002), AFI Life Achievement Award (2000) and more.
SAG-AFTRA President Sean Astin said, “Harrison Ford is a unique presence in American life; an actor whose iconic characters have shaped world culture. His career has been endlessly exciting, always returning to his love of acting. We are honored to celebrate a legend whose impact on our profession is indelible.”
Harrison Ford said, “I am deeply honored to have been chosen as this year’s recipient of the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award. To be recognized by my fellow actors means a lot to me. I have spent most of my life on film sets, working with incredible actors and crews, and I have always been grateful to be a part of this community.”
The new title Annual Actor Awards will be available on Netflix in Australia in early March.
