Tennis.com.au: Har Abir, how did you get to tennis?

Har Abir Sekhon: My father and my mother put me in tennis for socialization and just to have fun with my friends, and that’s how it started.

How old were you when you started playing?

I started playing when I was about five and a half or six years old.

Who is your favorite player and why are they your favorite?

Novak Djokovic is my favorite player at the moment. The reason is because he supports himself year after year. He is always in it. You can never count it in the tournament and his fighting spirit.

Is it that never-say that attitude and Vechtgeest that you are trying to implement in your own game?

I always try to implement that. It is always difficult to copy a 24-way Grand SLAM champion.

What is it like to represent your state?

It is pretty honorable to play before you are standing. It is really nice because there are many people around, many friends can hang around and also compete with it.

What do you like about playing tennis?

I also enjoy traveling to different countries and meeting new people, seeing new places, but then also play against different opponents and winning, but it is also yours to lose.

What is your favorite tennis memory on the field?

My favorite memory would double the final of the Orange Bowl. It was really a good boost, and it gives you a bit of a taste to want to do it again and to try deeper in tournaments.

What is the best advice you have received on the tennis court?

The best advice would be that you can look tired, but not show that you are tired.

What is your tennis goal in the long term?

My tennis goal in the long term would be to win a Grand Slam.
