At the moment, Grand Theft Auto VI Is officially planned for release on 26 May 2026, after the decision of Rockstar to push its original “Late 2025” window next year. According to Insider Gaming, it is expected that publisher Take-Two Interactive will confirm the date of May later in 2025 to announce a delay in February.

To be clear, nothing has been confirmed. The speculation is fed by a swirl of reports and comments from gaming journalists and leakers. Insider Gaming editor-in-chief Tom Henderson said on his podcast That he does not believe that the game will reach the launch of May 2026, although his information is not solid enough for a formal report. Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, one of the most trusted reporters in the industry, warned That “there is no guarantee that May 2026 is certain.”

As for what that delay could look like, Henderson suggests that October 2026 is more realistic, while PlayStation Leaker Millie A has driven September 2026. Anyway, fans may wait longer than expected for the next Juggernaut from Rockstar.
