San Francisco – Gregory Soto considered his performances against the METS earlier this month as something of an audition for team officials.
Knowing that the Mets were looking for Bullpenhulp for the Trade Deadline, the left -handed Saturday said he was extra motivated when he stood opposite the team a little more than two weeks ago as he threw the Orioles.
“I [wanted to] Show them what I could do, “Soto said through an interpreter after the 2-1 victory of the Mets on the Giants. “Only so that they could see what I could do so that they could trade for me.”
Soto threw 1 ²/₃ scoreless innings combined in those two performances.
On Friday the Mets de Veteran -Reliever in a deal that Minor League -Als Wellington Aracena and Cameron Foster sent to the Orioles.
Soto, who will be activated for Sunday’s series against the Giants in Oracle Park, was asked what had intrigued him about possibly being traded on the Mets.
“The way they play the game, the culture they have here, also many Latinos here,” he said. “This is a team that wants to win, and I want to win a championship, so that’s why I want to be here.”
Tylor Megill threw a bull pen session on Thursday and repeats the process on Sunday while accumulating in the direction of return of elbow inflammation.

Megill, who is on the injured list of 60 days, cannot return before August 14, but his rehabilitation will even bring him after that date.
The Mets came the day successful in their last 25 stolen basic areas, the longest line in MLB this season. In general, the METS had converted to 89.4 percent of their stolen basic areas, the highest percentage in the large competitions and the best in the history of franchis.
The Mets expanded their winning streak to five games, but in general 24-28 were removed from Citi Field this season. The 3.94 era of the team on the way this season, playing the game, was the third best in the big competitions.
