“For us at Godolphin, it is a realization of all the work that has gone into over the years to get to the stage where you are nominated as an owner or breeder,” said Michael Banahan, Bloodstock Director of Godolphin USA, at the January 5 edition of the BloodHorse Monday podcast. “It’s not one horse that carries you there; it’s a collective of the stable that does that and a collective of how well the trainers do it for you. All the people on the farm that take us there, to get the horses in the best condition possible, from foaling to raising them as yearlings. … The fact that we can do this over consecutive years is something we are very proud of … and so important to us.”
