While the defense of the Terrier goal is currently safe in the highly capable hands, stick and glove of Mikhail Yegorovthere is the matter of future netminding. The BU coaching staff met that need on Wednesday, winning a commitment from the USNTDP U18 goalkeeper Brady Knowledge. A dual U.S./Canadian citizen born in Toronto, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound. Knowling is expected to come on board in 2027 after playing one season of junior hockey. His OHL rights are owned by Saginaw.
Knowling’s announcement video pays tribute to three previous NTDP goalies who played for BU:Rick DiPietro, Jake Oettinger And Drew Commisso–as well as the 1980 U.S. Olympic goalkeeper Jim Craig.

The Hockey News reported:
“We were the underdogs – no one expected us to win,” he added. “I think our team just wanted it. We just laughed during training camp. We came out and played really hard for 60 minutes, and we got what we deserved.”
After the tournament, Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News named Knowling as the only goaltender on his team preseason top 32 for the 2026 draft.
In five starts this season for the U18s, including tilts against Notre Dame and Wisconsin, he has a 3.47 GAA and an .890 save percentage.
A year ago, during a tough season for the NTDP U17s, his GAA was 6.22 and his save percentage was .839
Before joining the NTDP, Knowling had a standout season with the North York Rangers U16AAA, which gave rise to this profile in the league. NeutralZone’s NCAA prospects on the watch list:
Brady KnowledgeG, North York Rangers, 4.25 Star Prospect, signed with NTDP
Knowling is a talented goaltender who is coming off a strong season in the GTHL, playing against some of the best players in the world in 2008. Goalies typically have a longer development path and aren’t a coach’s first call-up, but since he was drafted by Saginaw in the OHL, which is coming off a Memorial Cup championship, his clock could speed up. He has the size and athleticism to stand out immediately, but it’s his poise and composure, especially in big games where he carried the Rangers team into the playoffs, that makes him a highly sought-after prospect and could earn some offers on August 1st. Not to mention, US NTDP has developed several quality starters in NCAA, so the training and coaching he will receive over the next two years will be of great value to an NCAA program and will further improve his marketability.
In the U18s he plays with two other future Terriers: 2026 recruit Lucas Schairer and 2027 recruiting Jamie look.
