Today on the quail during Monterey Car Week, father of the McLaren F1 Gordon Murray launched the first two models produced by the special vehicle department of his company Gordon Murray Automotive. One is a modern view of the McLaren F1 called the S1 LM, while the second is a modern longtail Le Mans racing car, fitting the Le Mans GTR. It uses the intoxicating 12,100 r11 engine and manual six-speed gearbox of the GMA T.50, but almost every other component is unique for the Le Mans GTR. The complicated aerodynamic design includes a front splitter, side skirts, two-channel rear diffuser and the rear wing of the entire width and the rear fan of the T.50 has disappeared.
GMSV will only build 24 Le Mans GTRS, one for every hour of the iconic 24-hour race, and every unit has already been sold for unknown prices. Why did Gordon Murray decide to produce this specialized track machine? Because Joe Macari, the well-known London-based seller of Ultra-Shalling Cars, asked him.
GMSV Le Mans GTRs are more track -oriented than the T.50
With racing circuits in mind, Murray donated the Le Mans GTR with lighter, stiffer suspension, a broader track, larger Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, larger cooling and optimized weight distribution. The interior is also more track -oriented, with a redesigned dashboard, moves switches and dials and re -devised seat cushions and pedal cushions. Of course, buyers are able to adjust their interior colors and materials from their Le Mans GTR, but the coolest part is the RAM-Air intake mounted on the roof that fills the interior with the glorious sounds of those naturally raised V12.
In an Instagram messageJoe Macari shared the Inception story of Le Mans GTR when he asked,
“Gordon, if you went to Le Mans today, what would the car look like?”
A few weeks later, during lunch in our showroom in London, Gordon shared his vision with Joe and without hesitation, Joe asked: “Can you make me one?” Of course special vehicles can do everything. They agreed to make one car for every hour of their favorite race, and their partnership was formed. “
The 24 deliveries are expected to start next year, and you may be sad that you cannot experience the glory of this car, but that is not necessary. You can rest, knowing that there are approximately 8,240,783,476 other people on earth who have not been selected to buy a GMSV Le Mans GTR.
