Games inbox: What does the EA -Buyout mean for gaming?

The Tuesday letters page wonders if GTA 6 will be as great as most people expect, because a reader is enthusiastic about an indie -first trips to parasite Eve.

Wheels and actions
So this EA -Buyout -thing seems terrible. An investment group is going to have it now? I bet they are all sharp gamers with the best interests of the company and the industry in general in mind … not. From my knowledge of this kind of investment companies they immediately saddle the company with tons of debts, to pay the purchase themselves and just let it die because they have already earned their money.

The managers don’t care, because they have made everything, but every ordinary person who actually makes games will constantly look over their shoulders. I think the best case scenario is that EA will now have more money to spend on making games, but I bet that it will never be clear in everything we see.

All the money is spent on gilded bathrooms and exec bonuses. The entire game industry feels like a bubble that will burst. All these business things are constantly underway, with the buyouts and acquisitions, and yet developers are still fired. I think it’s a miracle that we still regularly get good games, but I fear that this could end soon, at least for Western companies.

Too big to succeed
I would all be for a new big Budget Lord of the Rings game, but I don’t believe that Embracer Group could even make it, let alone that it would be good someday. I don’t understand why Warner Bros. The rights to the series did not buy what a gold mine it is. Instead, they did the opposite and close the developer who had made the best game in modern times.

I don’t even know if the ultimate Lord of the Rings game, as I think, could even be made more. Just like Star Wars, it is almost too expensive to do if you add the costs of the license. Given the quality of the last few games, I am not sure if it is worth trying. Between the Gollum game and the Amazon series, the entire franchise seems to be on a downward slide.

Beyond all-stars
GC, are you going to view the release of Mario Galaxy Collection this week? I have seen a video online and it seems that there has been a texture revision about the games and possibly more.

I know that you had to look at Mario Galaxy 1 again, as it could be seen in the Super Mario 3D all-star collection, but it would be nice to have your opinion about how Super Mario Galaxy 2 stands under his renewed incarnation.

I am really looking forward to giving the Games this week Switch 2.

Tribute
A reader mentioned the other day parasite Eve and it seems that Inbox Magic has been beaten again. There is no literal new game, but there is an indie -called parasite mutant that looks very much like it, the main character even has the same hairstyle.

I assume that it is that time, that means that Square Enix will not sue it, but it almost looks identical of the trailer, only with cell-scaled images. However, I am completely for it. If large publishers will not give us what we want, they should not stand in the way of India who want to do it instead. The fight looks identical, I can’t wait!

GameCentral: the video game
A few weeks ago a friendly soul in the inbox also wrote a rans by mentioning my card game Battleechips.

As a thank you I thought I would make a little fan game for GC, called Gamecentralforver. It is 21 with the turn to publish your own score (‘chips’) to manipulate your finishing touches. No account needed, you just make a username.

I have populated the leaderboard with a few of the great gaming mags of yesteryear, but it would be cool to see some of the inbox -tribe guests there!

Souls
After 58 hours I fell the last boss at the second attempt in Silksong, for the basic end.

There is a whole alternative result for that fight that opens a whole new, really interesting part of the game. I think my last playing time will be double or more what it is today. Team Cherry Plan also DLC at the top.

The difficulty I have found for the course for a soul-leaking game. It is difficult and sometimes the game feels like things are going too far. Traditionally, for soul -like games, including Zusong, that aspect is at its peak in a swampy poison area.

But the game offers all the need to overcome all challenges and it is the players who solve, that is the real decisive factor. I think we all know the score for these hard games now and when they are our cup of tea. I like them.

Striking improvements for me during the first game are more open world design and exploration, together with the extensive combat options and movement.

Really a glorious game.

The Xbox approach
That Battlefield 6 trailer trying to have a chance on Call of Duty is pure cringe, if you ask me. It all feels very Microsoft for me, where they try to lock something that fans complain about and show that they don’t do it. Although the fans who complain about things like that, will be around 0.01% of the total players.

I have also never heard of one of those ‘famous’ people except Zac Efron, and now I stop to think about it, I cannot completely put my finger what I know from, he is just a familiarity at a low level. I hope that EA got more in store than this.

Nothing is impossible
I don’t understand the hype about GTA 6. Of course, the graphics look good and certainly, there has been no Mainline GTA game in 12 years, but I just don’t get the hype. I know that GTA is a big franchise with many players, but of what I know is the only thing that changes the graphic images with every new release and maybe A new card or some new missions.

I expect that GTA 6 will be successful, don’t get me wrong, but I doubt that it will tolerate all this money that people predict. It is actually almost impossible for some predictions to even come out. Billions of dollars in two months? That is impossible. I also think that Rockstar GTA 6 is exaggerating and says that games like Mario Kart World cannot compete with them and say it is worth an AAAAA title.

First of all, Mario is a platformer franchise (the title Rockstar cried, however, is a kart -racer) and is not even close to the open world game GTA. This is already an unfair advantage, because comparing an open world game where you can literally do everything you want to do with an open world kart racer. It is not fair to do things like that, especially the way Rockstar did it.

Secondly, I understand that GTA 6 -product costs are rumors like billions of great ones, but that doesn’t mean your game is the best. Maybe I will respond exaggerated and the launch of GTA 6 will be like any other, but I still don’t understand why people are so enthusiastic about the same game with slightly better images and a slightly different card (of what I have heard that they reuse an old map). However, I want to see how it takes place and how bad the internet breaks when it comes out.

GC: It is always a new map and completely new missions, even if it is the same city as an earlier game. GTA 5 earned $ 1 billion in three days, so several billions in two months are essentially guaranteed for GTA 6. Inbox also rans
If Konami is desperate to restart every franchise they have than Castlevania, then I hope that they will come to a bloody roar at some point. Fighting like a literal Wererabbit is an experience that I want again.

I also do not understand why the new Mario film is also called Super Mario Galaxy, but if it means we get a game follow -up, I am completely for it. I would bet that would never have happened.
