Milton, July 29, 2025 -A time a week, during the Mohawk Harness Racing season, Woodbine will profile a horse that has had a life-changing impact on one of their close connections.
This week, driver Tyler Jones, who registered a career-best 81 victories last season, and his father Dustin Jones’ HomeBred Trotter, will be your queen.
The younger Jones thought about his most precious memories of the mare who helped his career in perspective.
You become Queen
Foaled: May 18, 2018
Father: Royalty for life
Dam: Push all day
Wins-Seconds-Drode: 6-10-9
Income: $ 420,147
Trainer: Dustin Jones (2020-2021)
Owner: Dustin Jones Stables Inc., & Herbert Horses Inc.
Fokker: Dustin Jones Stables Inc., & 9177 8720 Quebec Inc.
What was your first impression of you will be queen?
‘My father and his racing partner breeding her and they owned the mare [Dewdle All Day] – They bought her at the Forest City Sale in 2014. The mare was really doing well, and her first foal was that you are Queen Will, who was a natural from the first day.
“She was really good in pairs. She won a base and a gold. In her three-year-old seasonal season I moved from Quebec to Ontario to race full-time once at the start of the year and honestly, and then I racet again at the end of September.
“The second time I raced with her, I won the Oss -gold at Mohawk [September 28, 2021]. “
The fact that Oss Gold Win was clearly very special in the autumn of 2021. Looking back, what do you remember the most of that night?
“Ben Baillargeon had this really good horse HP Mama B, and she happened to be scratched sick that night, which changed the entire perspective of the race. It did not necessarily change our game plan, which would still be too late. My mirphireing always had a huge late kick, so the plan was to use that late kick.
“HP Mama B was the best three-year-old that year, and she became a really good racing mare, but that day she happened to be scratched and I was the lucky victor.
“It was crazy. When I did the interview after the race, I just beamed. I couldn’t believe we won. That is the high that everyone has followed.”
What was the biggest lesson she taught you?
“Getting the chance to race such a horse, show you how exceptionally a horse can be. That was the biggest lesson. Now, in the future of her, you have that little bit of knowledge to make you think how well a horse can be.
“If you have a horse like them, it makes everything easy, even if it isn’t.”

Three words to describe her?
“Classy. Gentle. Intelligent.”
How did she change your life?
“She helped me to understand that I really wanted to become a driver and participate in such races, and racing horses like them, and won big races like I could do with her.”
