Trevor Svajda and Aidan Kim are two of the Americans, both of whom start their junior years, Svajda in Smu and Kim in the state of Ohio. Svajda defeated No. 7 Seed Alex Rybakov (TCU) 6-3, 6-3 to reach his fourth challenger quarterfinals this year. He will try to make his first career seconder semi-final when he takes on Murphy Cassone (Arizona State), who beat 6-1, 6-1, 6-4 yesterday.
Kim, Die Blaise Bicknell (Florida, Tennessee) of Jamaica defeated, 6-1, 1-6, 6-3 in the second round, plays no. 4 Seed Jack Pinnington Jones (TCU) of Great Britain after Pinnington Jones had qualified Quinn Vandecasteele 6-3, 6-3, 6-3, 6
The other two active collegians are Kentucky Second -year Antoine Ghibaudo from France and Virginia second -year student Rafael Jodar van Spain. Gibaudo defeated Martin Damm 7-6 (5), 6-3 and Jodar Vooruit when Wild Card Luca Pow (Wake Forest) retired 6-3, 1-0. Ghibaudo is confronted with Christian Langmo (Miami), who beat Kalamazoo 18s champion Darwin Blanch with 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 and Jodar, plays no. 3 seed Mitchell Krueger, who defeated Alfredo Perez (Florida) 6-4, 7-6 (5).
