Frisco RoughRiders 2026 Promotions: A Huge Win for Nostalgia and Bobbleheads

The Frisco RoughRiders have started announcing their 2026 promotional schedule, and it’s big nostalgia. From throwback jerseys to unique bobbleheads, the Riders are once again proving why they are among the best in minor league baseball when it comes to creating a fan experience.

The 2026 Throwback Sunday series

The centerpiece of the season is a three-part throwback series celebrating franchise icons. While Elvis Andrus and Ian Kinsler’s bobbleheads are designed to connect at the base, the series concludes with a special Chris Davis bobble card.

Baseball and space jam in the backyard

May 22: Baseball night in the backyard – Presented by GDS Wealth Management, the Riders will take the field as the Melonheads to take on the San Antonio Missions (Padres). This Healthcare Heroes evening will include a sleeveless jersey giveaway for kids and post-game fireworks.

July 19: Space Jam Night – Celebrating the 30th edition of Space Jam as they take on the Tulsa Drillers (Dodgers). A special jersey package is available exclusively through the purchase of a ticket package. Stick around for the fireworks presented by Globe Life.

Returning favorites and alternate identities

The 2026 season brings back the weekly staples that make Riders Field the place to be:

  • Thirsty Thursdays
  • Fireworks Friday
  • Saturday: Kids Run the Bases (lifting sticks)
  • Sundays: Kids Sunday Funday (raising reeds)

We’ll also see the return of the team’s popular alternate identities, including the Corny Dogs, Quesos de Frisco, and the Dallas Black Giants. Co-branded evenings with local sports teams will also return.

Remember: gate giveaways are while supplies last, so be there early!

My wishlist

This is a great show so far, but there is one thing I would like to see: Dollar Hot Dog Night. There’s nothing like a cheap dog in the ballpark to give you that feeling of the good old days.

Another promotion is coming out on Monday, and we’ll update the schedule here as soon as it becomes available!
