The two-year-old race at Rosehill allowed three horses to be trained by three different Freedman brothers.

The Freedman name is synonymous with Australian racing, and brothers Michael, Richard and Anthony will get the chance to claim bragging rights at Rosehill on Saturday.

The Bisley Workwear Handicap (1100 m) for two-year-olds has a field of ten acceptors, with the runners trained by Freedman occupying the first, second and third saddle pads.

Outspan, a colt by Bivouac trained by Michael Freedman, was well behind Magic Millions 2yo Classic contender Knightsbridge.

Richard, who trains with son Will, has Written In Munny on his debut, a Written Tycoon colt that won his most recent test.

Anthony, who trains with his son Sam, has a colt by Pinatubo out of Calliope, making him a half-brother to the star filly Tempted.

Written In Munny was a $360,000 yearling purchase from an American listed winner called Always In The Munny, and Richard Freedman said it would not be the first time the brothers had entered a race.

“We’ve all had a runner in the same race before, but I don’t think that’s happened with first-time starters,” Freedman said.

With the meteorological office forecasting 9 to 45mm of rain in Sydney on Saturday, Freedman will monitor race day conditions before deciding whether to compete, but said Written In Munny looks talented.

“I think weather will play a role in whether that will actually happen,” Freedman said.

“We’re always a little wary with things like that.

“He’s a nice horse. He’s fast, he’s got speed.”

“He showed during his test that he simply has to convert that into racing performance.

“He was probably a bit in the tank, but he ran a second and a half faster than any other test, including group horses.

“He is a nice horse, he can continue for a while and he will probably become a better three-year-old.”

The favorite for Saturday’s race, which was won by Wodeton last year, is Thyme To Go for Annabel & Rob Archibald, who finished second to Knightsbridge on their debut.
