FPL Notes: Damage + le compensation on pens, guiu recalled from loan

A second half goal Burst made two home wins in two for Sunderland when they mounted a late comeback to beat Brentford.

From a fantasy perspective there were two important points for both clubs: who will take fines in the future and who starts at the front?

Here are our explorations from the Stadium of Light.

Damage on pens – or not …?

Owners of Igor Thiago (£ 6.0 million) had a similar day as those who did Joao Pedro (£ 7.6 million) In their squadrons: the joy of a second Premier League goal of the season, but the irritation he did not take the punishment on his side.

Thiago had previously scored from the place in Gamweek 1 – and that was done with Kevin Damage (£ 7.0 million) on the field.

On Saturday, however, damage stepped up to take the second Spot-Kick-Kick of the bees of 2025/26, even though Thiago was present. He missed almost inevitably.

After full -time there was not much idea from Andrews or damage will still be in the mix, with the boss of the bees diplomatic in his support for the German.

“The players, since they returned from the preseason, have practiced fines, so there is no problem. Players will miss punishments, so I’m good with that.” – Keith Andrews to the BBC

‘Bryan [Mbeumo] Was the penalty contractor since Ivan [Toney] Leaved the building and it is something we have been aware of for a while. We have practiced a lot in training. It can happen. I don’t blame Kevin. “-Keith Andrews to the internal media of Brentford

And le extension on pens – or not …?

The Trackrecord of Sunderland from 12 Yards last season was terrible. To close the bad run, Eloh (£ 5.5 million) missed from the spot in the preseason.

And so the responsibility for the recalled Enzo le Fee (£ 4.9 million) When the Black Cats were fined on Saturday.

As the player himself said after the game, it could be Habib Diarra (£ 5.5 million) Take the following.

“I was sure I would score. We had a discussion with Habib [Diarra]Because he wanted to take it too, but I knew for sure, so he let me shoot and I scored.

‘No, no, no [I am not the first-choice taker]. If we have another one, let me shoot Habib because he let me shoot today. ‘ – Enzo le Fee on his punishment

Le Fee was from the side in the first two game week, but came back in the line-up of Regis Le Bris against Brentford, with Simon Adingra (£ 5.5 million).

Le Fee was deployed on the left flank and had no shot or a fine box touch to his spot kick.

Diarra, however, had a joint-match-best three shots. He is the one who pushes the most out of the central midfield, and he is the leading player of Sunderland for Schoten (five) and Penalty Box Touches (eight) this season. It was Diarra who won the fine that Le Fee scored, indeed.

Wissa to stay – or not …?

Thiago does not have much competition at the moment. He is indeed one of the only three FPL attackers to have played all 270 minutes Premier League football this season.

But could be the most important man of last season, Yoane warned (£ 7.5 million), Do you come back in Gamweek 4 to challenge him?

Andrews thought so when she was interviewed after the Sunderland match.

“Yes, I do that, yes. The posture has not changed in the entire window. Two days away from the end now, luckily, so there is light at the end of the tunnel for me. Unless something happened today, I expect Yoane Tuesday to be a Brentford player.

“Yes, [he’s been] Training, fitness levels are great. I don’t see integrating a big problem with him in the group. ” – Keith Andrews when he was asked if he expected that Yoane Wissa would still be a Brentford player in the next 2 September

On Sunday, however, Wissa had his own control.

This is one to look at Deadline Day …

Three -way fight becomes two -way

There is also constant uncertainty for Sunderland.

Mayenda started this season on all three league games for Sunderland, but positional rival Wilson Isidor (£ 5.5 million) surpassed him and came from the bank to take two goals.

The French striker nodded in the winner on Saturday and urges a start of Gameweek 4.

“Yes, we are always talking about new signing sessions. So I just want to repeat that we already have good players in our team.” – Regis Le Bris when he was asked if Wilson Isidor gave him a welcome selection headache

An attacker who will not be part of the striking comparison in Sunderland is the 14%ownership Marc Guiu (£ 4.4 million).

The injury picked up by Liam Delap (£ 6.4 million) On Saturday it seems to have had a Domino effect, whereby Chelsea wants to strengthen their songs at the top. Part of that reinforcement will, it seems that Guiu returns to his parent club.

Let’s see if Sunderland adds to their own strike power on the deadline day after they have lost Guiu.

Three of the three before Van den Berg

This was almost a solid defensive performance by Brentford in the way of Gameweek 2.

Up to the 82nd minute of Sunderland, unnecessarily given away by replacement Rico Henry (£ 4.5 million), the hosts had only collected 0.33 XG (Statsbomb):

Sepp van de Berg (£ 4.5 million) at least partially compensated with defensive contribution (DC) points. He is one of only three players who deliver in all three game week:

As for the hosts, Nordi Mukiele (£ 4.0 million) was the newest addition to their backline. He replaced the wounded And Ballard (£ 4.6 million) and DC points in the pocket on his entire Premier League debut.
