Sam Neill: “I’m always happy to work with Foxtel. We’re going back a while. This week we remember the great Brian Walsh who was absolutely at the heart of everything Foxtel did, and we look forward to the upcoming documentary about the man himself The great entertainer. Our last outing was ‘The Twelve. Cape Rock Killers‘, and of course don’t forget to catch up on this on none other than Foxtel when you’re in Australia.”

Brooke Satchwell said: “Foxtel is family to me. Front and back of ‘house’. Honored to share a ‘Professional Birthday’ – it’s heartwarming and humbling to reflect on the opportunities, relationships and growth Foxtel provides during this milestone 30 years. Foxtel’s passion for creating rich, world-class, homegrown content has inspired me both as an artist and as a member of the audience educated, uplifted and inspired. From the ongoing nurturing and evolutionary professional space they have in front of our industry practitioners to the stories of ‘us’ that have reached Australian audiences – the commitment is real. By consistently and courageously investing wholeheartedly in OUR questions, our hearts, our humor, dynamism, integrity and willfulness – Foxtel continues to prove that we are ourselves not having to compromise to resonate globally. This will forever be encapsulated for me by a memory of the waning hours of one AACTA Awards where I stood alone in the Fox Studios parking lot, exhausted, torn between hastily magic-pasted last-minute changes, a broken transportation app, and a statue…. There was Walshie. “Come on buddy, I’ll give you a ride.” Somehow it came to pass that all three passengers (including our Uber driver Ray) were Scorpios (roll your eyes if you will) – but what followed was a thoughtful, hilarious, heartfelt, open conversation about all things life and being human, as three spontaneously connected passengers traveled home in the dark. Happy Birthday to everyone at Foxtel and thank you very much. Go, good thing.”

FOX Footy Sarah Jones: “Being part of the FOX Footy team has been life-changing. Being the first woman to host a AFL match on Australian TV I’ve been given the opportunity to carve a path in the sport I love. Our incredible team continues to raise the bar for sports broadcasting and it’s a great honor to be a part of it. There is nothing like the excitement of going live from a packed MCG during a grand final.”

Lara Pitt: FOX League presenter: “When I look back on 18 incredible years with the Foxtel group, the highlights are many, but I have to go back to where it all started in the FOX Sports News room. I was fortunate enough to spend six years in the first and only 24-hour Sports News channel, where I learned from some exceptional producers, journalists and presenters. That time prepared me for the move to the FOX League team, where the opportunities were beyond my wildest dreams. From co-hosting League life, We’ve worked on every flagship show, most recently bringing our broadcast to the bright lights of Las Vegas – it’s been one hell of a ride!”

Brendon Julian, FOX Cricket Commentator: Working for Foxtel and FOX Sports has been an important part of my life. I’ve been there for over twenty years and have seen it grow from nothing to where it is today, creating and launching BBL cricket and turning that into a $100 million product is something we can all be very proud of. Showing every ball of the summer of cricket live was a huge highlight and privilege. And finally, participating in the 2012 Summer Olympics is something I will always remember in London.”
