New York, July 29, 2025 -The USTA announced today that 14 out of 16 with stars now confirmed that they are participating in the Blockbuster 2025 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship presented by vital proteins. The 14 confirmed teams – eight received direct access through combined singles ranking and six reception of wildcards – contain the biggest stars of today, legends of the game, the current or former singles and Doubles World No. 1S and Grand Slam Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Champions. The re -invented US Open Mixed Doubles Championship will be played on Tuesday 19 August and Wednesday 20 August in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, with $ 1 million in prize money that is awarded to the winning team.
The 14 confirmed teams announced today include:
- Eight men and six women are in the top 10 in singles and nine Grand Slam Singles champions.
- The defensive US Open Mixed Doubles champions Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori and the current ladies Doubles World No. 1 Taylor Townsend.
- Fourteen times Grand Slam Women’s Dubbel Champion and two-time Grand Slam Mixed Doubles champion Venus Williams, who compete for a place in the only Grand Slam-final singles, Doubles or Mixed Doubles-Ze still has to reach.

This week’s ATP and WTA Singles ranking list were used to determine the eight teams that were given direct access. Belinda Bencic entered a protected ranking of No. 15.
Vital proteins ticked as US Open Mixed Doubles Presentation of the Sponsor

RE -Magined US Open Mixed Doubles Championship
Earlier this year, the USTA announced the recovery of the US Open Mixed Doubles Championship With the aim of making more consciousness for this legendary competition, giving fans the opportunity to see the biggest stars of Tennis-Zowel men and women-after all the world and around the world.
This year’s event was moved from the third week of the tournament, the traditional place on the calendar, until the first week – US Open Fan Week – to enable Tops stars to compete together and to give this Grand Slam Championship Center podium, including coverage and international holders of broadcasting rights. Other improvements for this year’s US Open Mixed Doubles Championship presented by vital proteins include:
- A players’ field with 16 teams-eight teams that earn direct access based on their combined singles ranking and eight wildcard entries.
- $ 1 million in prize money for the US Open Mixed Doubles Champions (Team)
- The best-of-three-set competitions with short sets up to four games, no-ad scoring, tiebreakers at four-all and a 10-point match tiebreak instead of a third set.
- The final will be a best-of-three set-match for six games, with no-ad-score, with tiebreakers on six-all and a 10-point Tiebreaker competition instead of a third set.
- All matches played in Arthur Ashe Stadium or Louis Armstrong Stadium.
- The event will be shown in ESPN properties:
- Tuesday: 11 am – 1 pm et SPNN2; 13.00 – 2 pm et on Espnews
- Wednesday: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET on ESPN2
