Nicknamed the “Green Monster” of fans, Frankel has served the primary starting goalkeeper of Boston since the inaugural season and became the first time in the competition history that reached 1,000 saves, including play -offs. Frankel was named finalist for PWHL goalkeeper of the year for two years in a row and settled as one of the most elite and reliable networks of the competition. In two seasons, she leads all goalkeepers in the regular season of the career (1,046), is in second place in competitions (41), is in third place in victories (20) and is bound for third place in savings percentage (.924).
“Every time I get on the ice, I am reminded how special it is to represent Boston,” said Frankel. “The passion of the fans, the support of the organization and the bond with my teammates mean the world for me. I don’t take anything for granted and cannot be more excited to extend my contract in the city of Boston.”
Outside the PWHL, the 26-year-old participated in five IIHF ladies world championships, with two gold medals (2023 and 2025) and three silver (2021, 2022, 2024) for Team USA. Frankel is no stranger to Boston who played five NCAA seasons at Northeastern University (2017-22), where she won the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award in 2021.
Megan Keller, defender
Keller was born in Farmington, Michigan and never missed a match for the fleet, including all 30 games during the 2024-25 hour season where she registered five goals and eight assists for 13 points. Her attacking production is in sixth place of all PWHL defenders and she finished second in the total time on ice, which underlined her impact on both ends of the ice. Keller served a steady presence on the Blauwe Lijn as an alternative captain for two consecutive seasons and was appointed finalist for PWHL defender of the year in 2024. Keller has firmly established herself as a fundamental member of the Team and an important figure of the team.
“I am more than enthusiastic to be part of the Boston Fleet Organization for the next three years,” said Keller. “Boston really got home, and I am incredibly grateful for the chance to keep building something special here. I can’t wait, above all, to get back to the ice for our great fans!”
Outside the PWHL, the 29-year-old is a veteran at Team USA, who earns an Olympic gold medal in 2018 and a silver medal in 2022. She also represented the US in nine world championships, with six gold medals (2015, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2023, 2025) and three silver). Keller developed a connection with the city while playing four seasons at Boston College (2014-17, 2018-19), where she was a triple first team All-American.
Alina Müller, Vooruit
Müller, resident of Winterthur, Switzerland, appeared in 26 games for the fleet during the 2024-25 season and registered seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points. She led the competition in reduced ‘Jailbreak’ goals with two, including one scored only nine seconds in a penalty murder on February 20. Selected by Boston in the first round (3rd General) of the inaugural PWHL concept, Müller wrote history as the first international player drawn up in the competition. She was named finalist for PWHL Rookie of the year after an impressive regular season and delivered one of the most memorable moments of the inaugural PWHL play-offs with her double overtime heroic deeds in Minnesota to force a decisive game 5 in the final.
“I am so happy and grateful to stay in Boston for another three years and to keep building a championship,” said Müller. “Boston has become at home, both on and next to the ice and I am honored to continue to represent this city and this organization. For my teammates, the coaches, the organization and the fans, thank you for the dedication. I can’t wait to get back on the ice and chase something special with this group.”
Outside the PWHL is the 27-year-old triple Olympian near Switzerland (2014, 2018, 2022), who earned bronze in 2014. At the age of 15, she scored the playing goal against Sweden and became the youngest player in the history of the ladies’ hockey to earn an Olympic medal. She recently became a five -time recipient of Swiss Hockey’s Woman of the Year Honor (2018, 2019, 2022, 2024, 2025) and has been a cornerstone of the program for more than ten years. Müller also developed strong ties with Boston during her five seasons in Northeastern (2018-23), where she served as a team captain in her final year and graduated as the most important scorer of all time.
