The first Harness Racing ranking is for the IRT New Zealand Trotting Cup and the Renwick Farms Dominion Trot, which will be held on Addington Raceway on Tuesday 11 November.
Nominations for the two group 1’s closed at the end of last month (34 in the New Zealand Cup and 41 for the Dominion).
In the $ 1 million new -Zeelandse Cup Swayzee, as a title defender, 2024 Auckland Cup winner Republican Party, Inter Dominion Champion jump to Roem and 2025 Maurice Holmes Vase Winner Mo’unga has automatically qualified and fills the top four places.
From the other top kiwi chances, Ster Northern Pacer Merlin was rated on the fifth, before he did not stop dreaming with Akuta at eighth, we walk on Faith at 9 am and hunt a dream at the age of 10.
Two trotters have already qualified for the Dominion Trot – Bet n Win after his victory in 2025 Rowe Cup and Inter Dominion champion Arcee Phoenix.
They are first arranged with several group 1 winners Oscar Bonavena and Muscle Mountain on 3 and 4, followed by Victorian visitor Keyang Chucky.
His Stablemate Keyang Zahara, who caused such a sensation last year with 15 victories in a row, is in 13th place.
The first of the automatic qualifications for the Dominion is the test of Friday in Addington, followed by The Werthy Queen (October 10) and the Canterbury Park Trotting Cup (October 17), while the second automatic qualification for the New -Zeelandse Cup this Friday was followed by De Holmes DG in ADDINGON PARK on 3 October).
Both the NZ Cup and the Dominion will be limited to 15 starters.
