- Joe Burrow cleared up to bounce back in a big way: After a somewhat disappointing week 1 version, Burrow must benefit from a weak defense of Jaguars Jaguars. Burrow on average 23.4 fantasy points per match at home last season, while the Jaguars allowed 22.3 fantasy points per game on the road to Quarterbacks.
- Stay away from Daniel Jones in week 2: Since the start of the 2024 season, only four quarterbacks have scored more than 17 fantasy points against the Denver Broncos.

Quarterbacks
Fire QB Start of the week: Joe Burrow (vs. Jax)
It was not a nice version of Joe Burrow and the attack of the Cincinnati Bengals in their season opener in the Cleveland BrownHowever, S. do not note about one game – it was a heavy opponent of the road division and Burrow usually struggles in Cleveland. This week he plays at home against a weakness Jacksonville Jaguar’s defense. Burrow on average 23.4 fantasy points per match at home last season, while the Jaguars allowed 22.3 fantasy points per game on the road to Quarterbacks. Burrow, Ja’MARR Chase and Tee Higgins are all ready for a huge bounce-back game in week 2.
Sleeper QB of the week: Kaleb Williams (that’s it)
Despite the fact that they did not improve in his first game under Ben Johnson, Caleb Williams still had a great fantasy version, which yielded 24.2 points against the Minnesota Vikings. The willingness of Williams to use his rushing more often will lead to more consistent fantasy scores throughout the season. Moreover, this Sunday he will get a favorable matchup against the Detroit Lions, who have allowed the 12th most fantasy points to Quarterbacks in the past two seasons.
ICE QB Start of the week: Daniel Jones (vs. den)
In a shocking turn of events, Daniel Jones released in the debut of his Indianapolis Colts with a huge 29.5 Fantasy Point version. However, that was at home against an exhausted defense of Miami Dolphins. Things will be much more difficult for Jones this weekend, because he opposite the Denver Broncos’ closing unit. Only four quarterbacks have scored more than 17 fantasy points against the Broncos since the beginning of the 2024 season – Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert and Jameis Winston.
Run
Fire RB Start of the week: James Conner (versus car)
After a week it seems that the defense of the Carolina Panthers will still be horrible. No team allowed more hasty yards and fantasy points to the return position in 2024, and then the Panthers stood the Jacksonville Jaguars rush for 200 meters. Travis Etienne went against them 143 Yards in their season opener from 2025. Each declining panters is an immediately ranked man -arranged man for the week. James Conner should see a lot of work in this matchup, both on the ground and through the air, and I expect a top 10 fantasy finish from him in week 2.
Sleeper RB of the week: Zach Charbonnet (and peat)
CharbonNet is a very good running back, and his team may have finally discovered that. Although Kenneth Walker was healthy and active, CharbonNet led the Seattle The backfield of Seahawks in attacking snaps and hasty attempts in week 1. He played at 17% more of the attacking snaps in the season opener while playing on the vast majority of the third Down snaps and all goal line. The Seahawks should be sure to continue this week with the same Backfield -use, because CharbonNet was a much more efficient Rusher than Walker last Sunday. Their matchup in week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers should be favorable, because they only let New York Jets drain back Breece Hall 107 Yards on 19 hasty attempts.
ICE RB Start of the week: Javant Williams (vs. NYG)
Yes, Javont Williams Was a top five fantasy that ran back in week 1 … No, I don’t think he’s a good starter. Twelve of his 20 fantasy points came to two raging touchdowns of one meter. In addition to falling into the end zone twice, the rest of his overall game was not inspiring. Williams only registered 54 yards on 15 haste attempts (3.6 yards per carry) and 10 yards on two receptions. The New York Giants are a favorable matchup for Fantasy -Back -Backs, so Williams is still a startable fantasy, but he is very touchdown -dependent and will very disappoint if he finds the end zone.
Wide recipients
Fire WR Start of the week: T -Shiggins (vs. Jax)
The entire Cincinnati Bengals passing attack was a disaster in week 1, but I expect at home a huge offensive bounce back performance against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Last season on average Tee Higgins on average 22.8 fantasy points per match, while scored seven touchdowns, in five houses played. The Jaguars allowed the fourth most fantasy points to the broad recipient position in 2024. This weekend all your Bengal.
SLEEPER WR START OF THE WEEK: Olamide Zaccheeaus (that’s it)
It makes very little logical, but olamide Zaccheaea looks like he will play a major role in the Chicago Bears’ busy attack. After catching a long touchdown from Caleb Williams In the preseason, Zaccheeaus saw seven goals in week 1, which was the most of the second on the bears behind Rome Odunze. Olamide has actually recently had fantasy success and scored 24.0 points and 23.3 points in his last two games in the regular season in 2024 with the Washington commanders. This is a favorable matchup for all bear -wide recipients, because the Detroit Lions have allowed the fourth most fantasy points for WRS since the beginning of the 2024 season.
ICE WR starts of the week: Michael Pittman Jr. (vs. den)
Week 1 showed a lot of promise for the connection of Michael Pittman JR with Daniel Jones … but I don’t expect the duo to be very successful against Patrick Surtain and the Denver Broncos’ Stellar Secondary this weekend. Last week the Broncos held the Tennessee The broad recipients from Titans up to only 48 yards, while Calvin Ridley only registered four receptions for 27 Yards on eight goals. Pittman has to stay on fantasy banks in week 2.
Tight ends
Fire the start of the week: Hunter Henry (at Mia)
Hunter Henry led the New England Patriots with eight goals and had a solid day with four receptions for 66 yards in the season opener. In the eight career games that Henry has seen five or more goals Male -duck Maye, he has an average of 13 fantasy points per game. The defense of Miami Dolphins was steamed by the Indianapolis Colts last weekend, while Rookie in Tyler Warren set up seven receptions for 76 Yards against them in his NFL debut. Henry is one of the safer bets in the Te-position to hit at least double digits in week 2.
Sleeper too from the week: Juwan Johnson (vs. Sf)
Our fantasy in week 1 was no one but Juwan Johnson with 15.6 points … A man who remained unguinated in the majority of the competitions. Johnson saw an absurd 11 goals in the season opener of the New Orleans Saints-Hij was the only tight end to see with double digits in week 1. Unfortunately for the saints, the high target of Johnson is a necessity. He and Chris Olave are the only reliable weapons in the Saints attack, and Spencer Rattler seems satisfied to pepper the two with goals.
Ice at the start of the week: TJ Hockenson (vs. ATL)
Since he has made his return to the middle of the 2024 season of an ACL tran, TJ Hockenson has on average only 8.3 fantasy points per match on average and he still has to score a touchdown. Hockenson has not even scored a touchdown since week 12, 2023. JJ McCarthy rarely looked Hockenson’s away in week 1, so he only fed four goals for three receptions and 15 yards. At the moment, until he shows more a connection with McCarthy, Hockenson should not be considered a weekly instant starter.
Fire and Ice Fantasy Football plays
Here I categorize every relevant fantasy player in five different buckets: (1) Fire starts (best start of the week); (2) Thumbs up (starts well); (3) risky players with top (sleepers); (4) Ice starts (predicting poor performance of good player); (5) Stop (must sit).
NOTE: If a player/defense is not mentioned, I am not considering starting them in week 2. I have not included no commanders/packers players, because they have already played by the time this article is published.
