Of all the transactions that the Phoenix Suns had made in the second apron and try to compete for a championship, he continued from Deandre Ayton in favor of Jusuf Nurkic and Grayson Allen was perhaps the worst. The only exchange that takes on Bradley Beal, his monster contract and a no-trade clause, but at least there was a conviction that he could be the third star in Phoenix.
With Ayton, the Suns just wanted to get rid of him at all, even if it meant that he had the sawing Nurkic in the process. His first season in the valley under Frank Vogel was not that bad, but the situation went downhill last season. Then Rookie Toumani Camara was a complicated one for the Portland Trail Blazers in that trade, and that came back to chase the Suns in a large way.
Phoenix anxious OSO ighodaro could be the next Camara if they move it.
He has become the best and most useful player in that now notorious deal, and in his second season the second team made All-Defense. This is made even worse by the fact that the suns are now rebuilding, and so it would have had time to develop Camara. This was not the case when Kevin Durant was in the city, although they may have broken ties with him too early.
Can you imagine how good Camara would have been besides Devin Booker, Jalen Green and even Ryan Dunn? We will never know – it is the trail blazers that can see the Belgian flowering – but the scars of that trade can influence the decision of the Front Office to possibly exchange OSO ighodaro.
If you have the #SunsWould you exchange Dillon Brooks, OSO Iighodaro and what choices they still have to finally land Jonathan Kuminga? (✍️ @Lucalockheart))https://t.co/0gmgpjndc7

We recently held a survey with the question of whether you are willing to give up the second year for Waartwaarts/Centrum ighodaro if it meant that Jonathan Kuminga of the Golden State Warriors lands, and two -thirds of you said no. We have also taken this out of season with the conviction that ighodaro would be a perfect young person for the Boston Celtics to focus.
It is clear that both the Fanbase and the Front Office are thinking high, and in May he will be an X-Factor this season. He was a striking player for the organization during the game of the summer competition and represents a nice insurance policy such as Rookie Kaman Maluach has to go to the G League to develop something.
Iighodaro has been mentioned by other points of sale as a player who could let the Warriors talk about a potential Kuminga trade, in contrast to veterans such as Grayson Allen, Nick Richards and Royce O’Neale whose value around the competition is already established. We do not know whether he was ever called by the team itself, but he certainly cannot be what a potential trade holds.
The advantage of Kuminga in just 22 years old is too tempting for a second rounder in ighodaro to prevent it from happening. However, if you are the Suns, it will remain too raw feeling of turning Camara after his own solid summer competition – if Rookie no less – will certainly hang. Iighodaro is a promising prospect, but the Suns cannot consider their recent past to consider him inviolable in all commercial interviews.
