- Chicago bears rookie WR Luther Burden III gets his chance in week 14: Burden saw six goals and was on the field 50.6% of the time last week, both marking his career highs. He will undoubtedly get a big chance in week 14, with Rome Odunze sidelined with a heel injury.
- Blake Choir must be included in each competition: The Los Angeles Rams are trying to keep their starting running back, Kyren Williams, healthy for the playoffs, and it shows in Blake Corum’s increased workload over the past month. He posted a career-high 81 rushing yards and scored a touchdown last week. If nothing else, Corum is one of the best insurance policies you can keep heading into the fantasy playoffs.

With so many key fantasy players injured or parting ways, you may find yourself digging deeper into the waiver wire than you ever expected. Here are five players to consider adding from the waiver wire into Week 14 if you’re in a pinch due to injury or bye.
QB Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars
Trevor Lawrence has quietly thrown five touchdowns over the last two weeks while scoring 17 and 23 fantasy points in those games. He has now scored at least 17 fantasy points in six of his last eight games, while being the QB10 in scoring average since Week 5 (min. three starts) at 18.5 points per game. The Indianapolis Colts have been dealing with a lot of bad fantasy quarterbacks lately, including Cam Ward, Aaron Rodgers, Michael Penix Jr. and CJ Stroud, but earlier this year they gave up big fantasy days to Bo Nix, Matthew Stafford, Jacoby Brissett and Justin Herbert.
With four teams bye, Lawrence is a solid starting option in Week 14, and he is available in most leagues.

RB Blake Choir, Los Angeles Rams
Last Sunday, Blake Corum posted a career-high 81 rushing yards and scored his second touchdown of the season. He finished the week with 14.1 fantasy points, the most in a game of his NFL career. Corum has seen the field more in the past month, logging more than 30% of snaps in four straight games. With Kyren Williams in foul trouble and offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur claiming he wants to keep Williams fresh for the playoffs, it won’t be a surprise if Corum continues to see an increased workload during the latter part of the regular season. This week the Rams get a nice matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, who have struggled with running backs lately. Over the past four weeks, only the Washington Commanders, New York Giants and Carolina Panthers have allowed more fantasy points per game to the running back position than the Cardinals.
I think Corum can have standalone value. However, if you’re a Kyren Williams fantasy manager, Corum should be stashed on your bench for insurance purposes heading into the fantasy playoffs.

WR Luther Burden III, Chicago bears
Burden’s rookie season is one to forget, as he has just one double-digit fantasy appearance through his first thirteen weeks. However, his playing time has increased since the Week 9 bye to the Chicago Bears, as he has seen the field 48.5% of the time since Week 10 after only receiving 24.2% playing time from Weeks 1 through 8. Last week in Philadelphia, Burden set career-highs in both playing time (50.6%) and goals (six). He will get an even bigger opportunity in Week 14, with teammate Rome Odunze ruled out of the game due to a heel injury. The Green Bay Packers showed last week that they are not a shutdown passing defense when they allowed Jameson Williams to rush for 144 yards and a touchdown against them on Thanksgiving Day.

W. R. Devaughn Vele, New Orleans Saints
Now that the New Orleans Saints have traded Rashid Shaheed and released Brandin Cooks, Devaughn Vele has seen a huge increase in playing time and target share. Vele has played 87.6% of offensive snaps over the past two weeks while seeing 15 targets. Vele had a career fantasy day with eight receptions, 93 yards and a touchdown for 23.3 points in Week 13. Vele will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this Sunday, who have allowed the eighth-most receiving yards per game to wide receivers in 2025. Since Week 10, the Buccaneers have allowed six wide receivers to put up 14-plus fantasy points against them, including guys like Tyrell Shavers, Mack Hollins and Kyle Williams.

THE Darren Waller, Miami Dolphins
Darren Waller appeared in his first game with the Miami Dolphins in Week 4 and scored 17.7 fantasy points, then scored 18.8 points in Week 5 and 9.2 points in Week 6. Unfortunately, he suffered a pectoral injury in Week 7 that kept him out for the next four consecutive games. Waller made a limited return to the field in Week 13, playing just 47% of snaps after playing nearly 70% of snaps before his injury. His playing time should increase in his second week back, and he should be a big part of the Dolphins’ offense, which has struggled with limited receiving options. Last weekend, Kyle Pitts had one of his best games of the season against the Jets with seven receptions for 82 yards. The New York Jets have the third-most receiving touchdowns in 2025, and I expect Waller to have at least one reception in the end zone in Week 14.
