International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the competitive appointments of the ICC panel of competition officials for the competition phase of the ICC World Cup ladies 2025.

The experienced Australian duo of Claire Polosak and Eloise Sheridan will be the referees on the field for the opening match between India and Sri Lanka in Guwahathi, where the eight-team tournament will start on September 30.

Polosak appears on her third ICC World Cup for Women Cricket, while her fellow countryman Sheridan was part of the team in the last edition in Nieuw -Zeeland three years ago.

The two are not strangers for pioneering performance. In 2018 they became the first few female referees in a competitive match in Australia, while five years later they were the first female officials who were in charge of a Sheffield Shield meeting.

Polosak and Sheridan are accompanied in the opening match by TV referee Kim Cotton and the fourth referee Shathira Jakir Jakir Jakir, while Shandré Fritz will be the competition referee.

Sue Redfern and Gayathri Venugopalan will be the referees on the field for the next day between Australia and New Zealand, while Lauren Agenbag and Nimali Perera will take the field for the clash of Bangladesh with Pakistan on 2 October.

Agenbag took the lead over the 2022 final alongside Kim Cotton, whose first match as a referee on the field this time on October 9 will be the Indian match against South Africa.

In total, the completely female panel of match officials contains four match referees and 14 referees, with women from nine countries.

The agreements for the semi-final are announced at the end of the Round-Robin League and those for the final as soon as the finalists are confirmed.
