From his aggressive personality to his wild training schedules that can last up to eight hours a day, and even the team with whom he surrounds himself – he is ruthless in his pursuit of success.
Among them is his old coach, Sweet olav alnes, which he calls the ‘brain’ and ‘brain’ behind his Three world titles, three world records and Olympic gold. Moreover, his mother and grandmother treat administration and accounting respectively.
“I quickly understood that to be in this game and to be at the top, you first have to surround with great people, which I have always done. I have always been with the same coach all my life, and we have built up a great relationship with a lot of consistency in training,” said Karsten.
After getting the season quickly by winning the 400m hurdles at the second stop of the Diamond League in the People’s Republic of China and too wildly to a world best in the 300m hurdles, he knew it was time to slow down after the third behind Rai Benjamin in Stockholm. It reminded him of his Olympic disappointment.
From his much -praised obstacles on grass training to ‘peaks on treadmill’, he underwent a rigorous training block of two months. He returned to August and accused of the world leader in Silesia, before holding the Diamond League trophy in Zurich.
“Training works,” shared the 29-year-old who is known for the breast units for his races to make his adrenaline flow.
“The only thing that was a bit surprising to me was that I could get out of the training so quickly. We had the last really difficult training session only a week before that race, so hopefully the form can continue to build.”
