Former Wallabies skipper Michael Hooper has just scored himself a new $7 million home in one of Sydney’s most sought-after beaches.
Retired Wallabies captain Michael Hooper and his wife Kate have upgraded homes on the northern beaches.
They have sold their Manly home of five years and moved to something bigger in North Curl Curl, paying $6.75 million for a house overlooking the Curl Curl Lagoon and the ocean.
The four-bedroom home was architecturally designed by ROAR in 2017 with glass walls.

It is topped by a spacious living and entertainment area spanning the entire top floor, including a marble designer island kitchen with a built-in dining table for six, a Smeg induction hob, two Miele wall ovens and a Vintec wine fridge.
The sunset deck at the rear has a built-in barbecue and a terrace on the park side. The flat lawn to the rear features a heated mineral pool on the 320 m² block.
The median home price in North Curl Curl is $3,732,500, down 1.5 percent over the past twelve months based on 40 sales, according to PropTrack.

Larger homes, however, have fared much better, with the average four-bedroom home rising more than 20 percent annually, based on tighter sales, to $4.4 million.

The couple sold their former Manly home off the market for $3.9 million. They had modernized the four-bedroom Federation seminary after paying $2,655,000 in 2020.
The buyer recently put the Carlton St house up for rent for $2,500 per week, which equates to a 3.3 per cent return for the new owner.
Hooper, 34, born in Collaroy, was Capped 125 times for the Wallabies before retiring from international competition in 2024. In his junior days he played for the Manly Roos and at St Pius X College.

The forward started playing professional rugby with the Brumbies in 2010 before joining the Waratahs two years later.
