Women’s Premier Division
The Premier Division table for women has a symmetrical look with four teams on six points, four in three and four on no. We still have to see a draw, and on Saturday there were little comfort of home with five of the six games won by the visitors.
In the match between the finalists of the past season, Surbiton won some revenge with a 4-1 victory at Reading. Their goals came from Erica Sanders (2), Amy Costello and Giselle Ansley before Georgia Howe yielded a comfort.
Durham University enjoys life in the top flight and were the only winners of the day of the day, who won in style while defeating Nottingham University with 7-1, with captain Lizzy Pockknell who delivered a hat trick.
An Olivia Hamilton corner on the Rest Stripe was enough for Hampstead and Westminster to beat Bowdon 1-0.
It was a similar score at Loughborough students where the University of Birmingham won the only goal scorer with Coca Hall; Birmingham and Hampstead have to give another goal.
East Grinstead bounced back from the defeat last week to win 2-0 at Clifton Robinsons, just like Wimbledon, 4-0 winners in Barnes, where newcomer FLO Fletcher opened the score for the second week.

Open/Men’s Premier Division
It was a high scoring weekend in the Open/Men’s Premier Division with 39 goals in the six games and only one team that won at home.
That team was Champions Surbiton who defeated Hampstead & Westminster 4-1. Nick Bandurak, Gareth Furlong and Nick Morgan gave Surbiton a 3-0 lead during the break and although Matt Guise-Brown withdrew one, Calnan again extended the three target benefit of Surbiton.
The top scorers of the day were old Georgians who are at the top of the early table after a 9-0 win in Southgate, where Sam Ward hit a Treble for the second week.
Holcombe was also in a free scoring mood that won 7-2 in Brooklands Mu with Teague Marcano scored three and Matt Ramsshaw Two.
East Grinstead enjoyed a 6-3 victory in Beeston, even though she went 2-0 after 11 minutes. Jonty Elmes hit a hat trick like EG won in Nottingham for the first time since 2019.
Wimbledon won 3-1 at Cardiff & With and two goals from Charlie Axford gave Oxted a 2-1 victory at Reading.
This Thursday evening host Old Georgians, the competition that was brought forward, reads from 11 October, when OGS is in action by Euro Hockey League.
