In a Friday appearance on The Joe Rogan Podcast, Elon Musk defended chairman Donald Trumpin which he states that while Trump is “not perfect,” he is also “not bad.”
Musk’s comments were part of a three-hour conversation interview of Joe Rogan. Musk said that despite their differences, he does not view Trump as evil as he is often portrayed in the media.
“Some people still think, you know, Trump is basically the devil. And I mean, I think, I think Trump is actually not perfect, but he’s not bad. I’ve spent a lot of time with him, and he’s, I mean, a product of his time, but he’s not, he’s not bad,” Musk said during the interview.
Musk also supported Trump’s immigration policies, arguing that maintaining border control was necessary even if it led to arrests.
He claimed that without enforcement, there would be no deportations of illegal immigrants because “perfection is impossible.”
“If Trump had lost, there would never have been a real election again because Trump is essentially enforcing the border,” Musk added.

“There will be cases where they have been overzealous in deporting illegals. But if you say the standard should be perfection for deporting legal people, then you will not get deported because perfection is impossible,” he continued during the call.
The relationship between Musk and Trump has had its ups and downs this year, with Musk initially supporting Trump’s presidency, only to later disagree on policy issues.
However, recent developments indicate a possible reconciliation in their relationship, as Musk’s company received a $2 billion government contract from the White House this week.
Why it matters: Musk’s comments on the Joe Rogan Podcast indicate a possible shift in his attitude toward Trump. This comes after a public disagreement between the two earlier this year.
The recent $2 billion government contract awarded by the White House to Musk’s company could be a sign of an improvement in relations between the two.
This development could have significant implications for Musk’s businesses, given the influence of government contracts on the technology industry.
