Manchester United Women had two players in international action on Monday evening.
The Norwegians, after an impressive 3-1 win over Brazil, played in a friendly match against their rivals Denmark.
Lisa Naalsund
The 30-year-old has been more involved with United’s first team this season and she has once again been handed a start for her country.
The midfielder played the entire match 90 minutes of her team’s 0-0 draw against the Danes.
She failed to complete key passes in the match and was also only able to connect on 67% of her passes on a poor night on the ball.
Naalsund had one shot on target, but it was well blocked by the Danish defense.
The midfielder had more success defensively, winning three of her four tackle attempts.
During the match, she also came out on top in four ground matches.
Elisabeth Terland
The striker started the season in red-hot form, scoring numerous goals in the Champions League qualifiers.
This has led to her being involved in talks over a new deal to remain at United for the foreseeable future.
Terland had three shots in the match, one of which was missed as a big chance.
She had another effort that was on target and another that was blocked by the determined Danish defense.
The striker was unable to complete a single dribble attempt and completed only six of her ten passing attempts.
Terland got involved defensively, winning 100% of her tackles and making one clearance.
The 24-year-old also completed three ground duels and won one dogfight in the match.
Both players will next feature for United when they face West Ham United in the Women’s Super League on Saturday.
