August 31-EA Sports FC, the video game of electronic art, has further strengthened its dominant position in football gaming with a series of new and renewed licensing lives and an elevated focus on the women’s game.
In the women’s game, Chelsea women and FC Bayern women have been added to the club partnerships of the game, in addition to innovations, including the Barclays Women’s Super League, Arkema Première Ligue, UEFA Women’s Champions League and UEFA Women’s Euro.
The extra focus on the women’s game will also see more gender parity within the video game itself.
In total, the next edition of the game – FC 26 – will have more than 20,000 athletes in more than 750 clubs and national teams, 120+ stadiums and 35+ competitions.
There are now more than 300 worldwide football partners in men’s and women’s football, with EA emphasizing a renewed deal with English FA, including the Euro 2025 champion Lionesses and the national team of men. The Giant Club FC Bayern from Germany has also been added as a partner.
“Everything we have added to FC 26 is formed by the voices of our community,” said James Taylor, director of football partnerships at EA Sports FC.
“From the return of iconic stadiums and fans of clubs have called to expand the representation in women’s football at the highest level – every new addition reflects our dedication to authenticity and to celebrate the incredible diversity of the world’s game.”
New stadiums added include Stadio Diego Armando Maradona from Napoli, such as the Allianz Arena, the home of FC Bayern and Tüpraş Stadium, the Stadium of Beşiktaş.
