Dynasty Trades Reality Check: Kenneth Walker – Dynasty League Football

The Super Bowl MVP is almost always a quarterback, but when you watch Super Bowl LX, it was clear that the best player on the field was a running back. Kenneth Walker ran all over the Patriots’ vaunted defense and helped keep the game completely in Seattle’s control. Dynasty executives had a frustrating season with Walker, but when his NFL team needed him most this winter, he took a big step forward. Thanks to that, he has the opportunity to earn a huge salary this season via a contract extension with Seattle, or as an unrestricted free agent. The opportunity to sell Walker high is there, so let’s take a look at recent trades involving the Super Bowl MVP!

Kenneth Walker, RB SEA

Walker was only the RB22 this season despite playing in all 17 games. Normally, availability is the best option for a fantasy football running back, but even while he was on the field, he barely managed to finish as RB2 this season. That’s because he shared time with Zach Charbonnet. Additionally, Charbonnet got the most valuable snaps, passing downs and goal-line snaps. He’s the more powerful back, the better pass blocker, and the Seahawks trusted him a lot more with those high upside touches.

In the playoffs, with Charbonnet sidelined, Walker went out for huge games, scoring 35.5, 21.1 and 18.1 PPR fantasy points across the three playoff wins. He proved to his doubters that he is absolutely capable of taking the lead at a team’s running back position, and he will have the opportunity to cash in on that ability on the free agent market this offseason.

With that offseason uncertainty in mind, now is a good time to look at trade value for Walker in our dynasty leagues. Let’s head over to the DLF Trade Finder and Trade Analyzer to see what it looks like to acquire this running back.

I wanted to make sure this trade was included in this analysis because it is the only non-IDP trade involving Walker on the trade finder that was accepted after the Super Bowl (so far). It’s two second-round picks for Walker, and it feels like a steal for the team that acquires Walker. Even before the Super Bowl appearance, this seems like a good deal. That 2026 second-round pick appears to be the 2.3, which has some extra value in superflex, but Walker’s name and role should be enough to earn at least a first-round pick.

This trade shows how frustrating it has been to have Walker on your team this season. He was so up and down and unable to capitalize on his valuable opportunities. He’s always a risk to break a big, but sometimes fantasy managers and NFL head coaches just want a reliable running back who can consistently rack up four yards per carry and pick up a blitz in the passing game. Walker isn’t much of a running back, regardless of which team he ends up playing for in 2026.

It’s hard to know what to do next with Travis Hunter in dynasty leagues. He finally had a big offensive game in week seven, but suffered a season-ending injury. And as we head into 2026, the team appears to be on the right track with the trade for Jakobi Meyers and the emergence of Parker Washington. There is speculation that he could play primarily cornerback instead of receiver next year, which would absolutely negate any fantasy value he has. In order to make such a trade, you have to be ready to leave Hunter on your bench for a long time, hoping for a breakout year down the road.

To be honest, I’d rather play it safe with Walker right now. That would have been crazy to say last offseason when Hunter was right at the top of the rookie drafts. Walker is one of those volatile, up-and-down running backs who seemingly has to be in a split backfield, yet he’s still the safer option. I would like to see a pick or a safe player in this trade hitting the accept button.

This would be the type of trade I would want to make if I wanted to move forward with Kenneth Walker. Williams is a solid upgrade over Walker and Jaylen Waddle is a huge upgrade over TJ Hockenson. You’ll have to give up a first-round pick to make it work, but it’s a poor rookie class and you could argue that Waddle will be better than any receiver you can get at pick four.

Right now is a good time to sell Walker high, but it is very obvious. The other managers in your league are probably sitting there waiting for you to try to invade their inboxes with a Walker trade offer. In other words, it might not be as easy as you’d hope. Shop around and really try to get the best deal you can, and make sure it’s a deal that’s actually worth it for your team. Don’t accidentally make your team worse just to try to cash in on the hot ticket.
