Everton 1 Newcastle 4 read the scoreboard at the final whistle.
No more than Eddie Howe and his players deserved.
So much love for this performance.
That Everton 1 Newcastle 4 final score absolutely sums up United’s dominance, especially when it comes to creating scoring opportunities.
The fastest Premier League goal of the season and Newcastle United never looked back since, with just 52 seconds on the clock when Malick Thiaw headed home.
Nick Woltemade had released Elanga with an excellent pass, the winger’s pace taking him behind the defense and Pickford making a full save to tip the ball around the post.
Lewis Miley turned into an excellent corner at pace and Thiaw looked past the struggling Jordan Pickford.
Everton huffed and puffed but Aaron Ramsdale could not make a save in the first half.
When Newcastle United attacked, they did so with purpose and numbers and regularly took Everton apart.
With 25 minutes left on the clock, a bit of pinball in the box and then it fell for Miley, his left foot through Pickford’s legs and the (scouse) mackem seemed to blame Tarkowski for coming into his line of sight!
As the clock ticked towards the break, Everton once again fell apart under United pressure, with Elanga providing Woltemade and Big Nick with the tastiest chips over poor Jordan Pickford.
The excellent Lewis Hall had also hit the crossbar earlier in that first half and when the whistle blew, David Moyes and his team staggered off the pitch in shock.
Thirteen minutes after half-time and Lewis Hall with a deserved assist, his perfect cross was met by Malick Thiaw for his second!
Dewsbury-Hall scored a very good goal with twenty minutes to go, but it was no consolation for the rapidly emptying home sections.
Newcastle United saw the victory in complete comfort and I must say that I think it is a great idea for Everton to move from the Goodison Park slum to this very beautiful Hill Dickinson Stadium. Easily my favorite Everton stadium ever…
