First and foremost, let’s give an applause to Drake Baldwin after his excellent performance tonight, which strengthens his business for National League Rookie of the Year.
A two-homer night for the Rookie, along with five RBIs, started for the first time in the bottom of the first, Going Yard for the Atlanta Braves To put them on the scoreboard. Marcell Ozuna immediately followed with a Homer.
Baldwin’s others stood in the bottom of the sixth, making it a three-run explosion, Lowering the Miami Marlin’Four-run lead through one (6-5).

Baldwin also achieved an RBI single, so Nacho Alvarez Jr. In for the sixth run in the 2nd half of the seventh, now with the Marlins (6-6) after a quiet four innings with only two runs on the board.
Ozuna followed that up again with an RBI Single to bring Jurickson Profar to silence their opponent. And finally, the team scored one on a wild pitch in the eighth to win the victory 8-6.
The Marlins started with six unanswered runs, but later fell on the six unanswered runs of the Braves, thanks to the hard work that the team did to push past their struggles and follow the example with hot bats.
This victory not only broke their general and homestead that lost streak, but also prevented the Marlins .500 from reaching because they are now two games behind the middle.
Carlos Carrasco (5.2 IP/ 6 ER/ 9 H/ 2K/ 2 BB) had a few struggles where he had to come for in the beginning, and five unanswered runs stood up at the second inning, but remained stable that went deeper into play by making adjustments.
And of course the crowd burst into cheers when Raisel Iglesias came in at the top of the ninth for Dylan Lee to conclude with the rescue.
Fun fact: the opponent of pitcher Eury Pérez has never defeated De Braves for the past twice that he played against the team, and this loss simply brought his record to them with 0-3.
The Braves were also about to lose their first six consecutive home games if they had lost this matchup.

Now this is not to take away the much needed victory tonight … But the question remains … can they keep the momentum to do it again?
Well, I think we should see that Bryce Elder takes the hill in an attempt to lead the team to a victory in game two.
